So.. I know the YY project has gone from a public project, to a private project, but does this mean that we no longer should have discussion on it? Along with that, a few news posts wouldn't go amiss would they?

Granted only a selection of people are going to be getting this (I hope I am one of them), but even for those that don't, it would be nice to see what you guys are pulling off. YY has taken you guys a fair amount of time, and to simply 'stop' with the spoilers is annoying me Even if it is a private project...

Any chance of a few updates?

Discussion is more than welcomed, as you said even though it's gone private doesn't mean discussion should stop.

As for updates, it might be a while. Syf is extremely busy with working 16 hour shifts at work, looking after his kids during the week and working on various other projects. I am now working 50 hours a week, sometimes more, GMing Midway since Hellkite has been deployed again to Iraq, co-GMing Crossovers and working on a couple of other minor projects. Then there is the time it takes Syf and myself to run the site.

The project isn't dead, just having a break. We are putting on more Moderators to help us in the running the site aspect, one has already been contacted and accepted.

Once things quiet down, hopefully by December I will see about getting some more updates done for all of you if it's what the community wants.

i know i only small parts of this community, but still really hope that this comes out. Hate see any mod die. Just happy your still working on it. As usual i have nothing really to add. Except im hoping this mod will come out. Speaking of which i need reread what race or going to be in this. Even no i think Feds look good for their age ...

Dont worry, when things settle down, we will get some more work done on the mod. I've been working on a few designs for some of the stations lately.

Perhaps in the coming month or 2, we'll have more to tease everyone with.

Just a question, more about the release than anything (not for a date) - i know its now being released as a private mod to those trusted not to release it elsewhere following the debacle over at FF, but how is that going to be handled?
just thought i'd mention it in case it hadnt been thought about.

i mean, will it be available as a passworded rar file for download with only trusted people getting the password (though apparently its gettin easier to crack winrar now so maybe not) or will it be to a download link sent out privately by PM?

If you read the other latest threads over here it answers your question.

Its cancelled from the public, means only a select few will have access to it. The way the community has shifted and their attitudes in regards to believing artists (modellers in this case) don't have the right to control their own work has forced this outcome. I am not going to dig any deeper into this as it's all over as far as I am concerned.

So now YY is a exclusive download to those who we believe as we do that artists do have rights, and the said person will not redistribute the mod in part or whole to anyone else.

Simply put only those we trust will get the mod. If one hasn't already got our trust the way to do so is to participate on these forums in the various sections.

Just spent the last hour reading this website and now feel kind of sad.

Unfortunately I guess I am a silent fan. Reading replies, stating the importance of feedback seems kind of daunting (if the ops really want my/our feedback promote that, I guess its good thing having this debate but are you putting too much importance on it?) Sure the developers want the feedback on features/balancing? - But at the end of the day its the developers vision that ultimately produces the mod.

I have little expertise on modding but im willing to learn if someone takes the time to guide me. im available via msn please ask via P.M. - I'm willing to review/help in anyway I can and luckily I do have allot of time on my hands. (usually.)

I have been active on other trek sites namely a2 files. under the name adc2000974

I've had a copy of both Armada's since they came out - I do love Armada
