• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

My Final Entry *Warning, Long Post*

Didn't get around to textures, and could have added a little more detail - but I'm happy with it...

Here's my long over-do entry.

This concept is based on Miguel Alcubierre's Theory

X-933 "Lightning" Experimental FLT Spacecraft.

Built by sub-contractors Boeing and Lockheed for the United Earth Space Agency in 2112.

Spacecraft possesses 3 different types of propulsion.
HyperBoost-R antimatter rockets
Type L Ion propulsion thrusters
Alcubierre Spacial Distortion wave FTL drive.

Specifics:
Hyper Boost-R antimatter Rockets are a Quick Launch rocket used for all basic spaceflight systems. Able to achieve 0.09 Lightspeed. In the X-933 program, there are 3 sets of rockets used on the experimental craft. The primary, which will be used for initial Orbital and intra-solar system pre-launch flight tests, as well as initial launch on first FTL test. Secondary set are for emergency intra-solar System return and recovery, used as a backup for the primary rockets. Tetarery rocket located at the front is to return crew escape capsule in an emergency event during initial tests.

Type L Ion thrusters are an 18th generation Ion propulsion system able to propel a craft up to 0.23 lightspeed. This system is designed to allow the craft to accelerate and decelerate and function at sub-lightspeed.

Alcubierre Spacial Distortion wave FTL drive is the experimental "Faster Than Light" propulsion system. It was developed by the UESA, the space agency of the United Earth Council, after the collapse of World War 4 in 2074 and a new age for mankind began with the unification of the nations of Earth. Initial development was made on an unmanned probe sent to the Kipper Belt in 2103. The Probe reached a speed of 0.987 Lightspeed do to instability in the Alcubierre wave matrix generator. The problem was soon solved and the X-933 program was launched to build the first FTL manned spacecraft.

The central cylinder structure is the Wave generator (reactor core) that creates a "wave" through Space-Time which the ship "rides" to a destination. The rockets are ejectable once the primary tests are completed.
