Nintendo Wii Release Nov. 19th.

Like the PS3, the Wii is about to be released.

I will when I get the money and if one is available. With school and all. I can always use another system to help me relax. I am finally getting me another cell phone. Now the only two things left are a computer and a Wii....

Not interested in this at all, the Controllers really turn me off this machine.

As a future game dev, I do plan on owning the Wii, along with all those other systems. I'm beginning to see it as a neccesary evil.

The Wii and the PS3 both appear to have akward looking controllers. But, as I've learned in the past, you will get used to it. I remember the days of the original Nintendo controller... That was akward when compared to the Atari controllers at the time. And look at us now, How could we ever have lived without the!

So, don't let the controller's fool you. Those guys in the Nintendo R&D labs must have figured out a cool new way of playing games. And for $250 bucks, compared to the $400-$600 of the PS3 and XB360,it's priced a whole lot better. And, it will have sequels and prequels to all those classics we all loved to play.

Something that kills Nintendo is their horrible games, for kids this is awesome but for examble GameCube, I can tell nearly sure that 70% of their games were for kids... tell me a 20-30 years old guy will play it?
If there is a game that will raise something good willl be Zelda, but you will buy a consolo for 2 or 3 games?
PlayStation Console, launch a lot of game on his last console (PS2) and some of them were good some of them not.
But XBox Original launched a few but nearly all were awesome now tel me ATM, some game publishers was waiting for this moment ("The War of Consoles") to begin to make their games and selling them more and better, but right now seeing some previews of the "3 Bigs" XBox won...

I'm 32... And I know of atleast 5 other 20-30yrs old guys that still like games like Mario Bros. After all, I grew up on games from Nintendo.

Also I have 4 kids, 3 of which are old enough to enjoy games.

I like the idea of motion sensitive controllers. I heard something that they are suppose to release more adult games with the Wii. I am an huge fan of games like Zelda and Metroid. I bought a Gamecube just for the Metroid game. Then I found other games I liked. I also like the price of the Wii. Granted I might still have to buy a XBOX 360 to play Halo.

I would play Zelda, the Oricale of Time for the N64 was a great game.

There are games like that I would still play an I'm 22, 10 years younger than Syf.

But I will be waiting till it drops in price.

NEWS: Nintendo Wii is a go! News!

Nintendo launched it's Next generation console, the Wii today. There was no reports of violence during today. Part if this is because Nintendo had over 5 times the number of PS3s available at launch. Japan will get the Wii next month, with over 400,000 consoles available for that release. Nintendo is expected to ship over 4 million consoles by year's end.

I may buy this System just for the Nintendo Games.
And remember people how the Playstation cam into existance....
Nintendo and Sega decided to create a New Game System, and Thus Playstation was created.
The Issue of the Controller... Remember the Glove? or How about when X-Box Came out with that Big controller. We where not used to it but now many are.
The Games.... All they need to do I revamp the Classics and Put them out, and remeber people Resident Evil was Origonaly for Nintendo. And any upgrade in game systems to allow better graphics I say good to go.



P.S. I own just about one of every game system ever made from the old Cleico Vision to The New X-box 360, Including the Artari 800 Personal Computer.

How about when X-Box Came out with that Big controller.

Funny thing is I never has a problem with it, I always though it was the best design for an controller I have ever seen.

Nintendo is hoping to attact new gamers with this Wii being cheaper than the PS3 and XB360. I myself expect a price war by next christmas season. But not this year. I guess all systems have their pros and cons. The Wii's con is the controller being so "different". But I'm sure once you get past that, It's a blast to play. It really depends on the quality of the games released for the system.

I myself will always go for a system that sports any Star Trek, Star Wars, Transformers, Metroid, and Robotech games. So I guess I will have to by the Wii as well as the others.

The Wii is now out in Australia, the machine itself is only $399, unlike the other systems when they came out for $600-$700 each.

A classic controller is also only $30 if you just can't get used to the new style of controller. I didn't have a look at prices of the games, but I don't expect them to be all that much different from Xbox 360 game prices.

I will await and see what games come out on the machine before buying one. If Mario Kart, Rouge Squadron and a few other like games come out on her then you will see me digging into the bank account to get one. It will just make it a few weeks longer for me to buy that house I am saving up for.

I have already decided that I will be getting a Wii before I go for the other 2. I will be getting it sometime in the next few months. It will not be for christmas however. I want to wait until the christmas rush on those consoles is over. So, probably in Feb. or Mar. of '07. The other 2 systems I am interested in, but I will have to wait until the price wars start bringing down the prices. I can see paying under $300, but no more. My reasoning is simple, in 3-5 years from now, they will release the next gen systems to follow these.

I'm glad that they offer a standard styled controller, as I'm not too sure about the motion controller myself.

I have observed that it is every 5 to 6 years that a new console comes out to replace an older one.

Eg, The xbox came out in early 2000 and the 360 came out in early 2006.

I also agree, I don't think I will be a fan of the motion controller, so I am happy for the standard controller, though it is like the old Super Nintendo controllers.

I will be waiting a while before I get one. But I will for the fact that Zelda is on it and that you can download classic games.
