• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Hello everyone, as I am moving out of the Armada Modding Game, I am focusing more on my modelling skills.

Thus I am opening this thread as a request area for people wanting models for Armada 1 or 2, or any other game actually.

[fieldset=My Conditions]However apart from my usual conditions (credit being given where due, and models not to be hosted outside MSFC), there are a couple of other conditions these are:

  1. Hardpointing, I dislike it and as such if you request a model, please make sure you can hard point or at least having someone lined up to do it for you.
  2. Textures, in most cases I won't have them, I haven't been able to make them either. So you need to either supply them to me or be able to make them yourself. I have no issues applying them for you I just need the textures to start with.
  3. Designs, if someone else has made the design, get the okay from them first. It saves me an credit issues down the road and keeping me happy is good for you.
  4. I reserve the right to Majesticized the design if I wish. This means I hold the right that if I can't model a particular area due to a limitation of my skills or just not like a particular area to modify it to suit my wishes.
  5. Finally, there is no requirement for me to take up the request. If I don't like the design or don't feel like modelling I will say no. Considering it is my time and effort will go into it I have the right to say no if it (the design) doesn't appeal to me. I also hold the rights to put a hold on the production of any model request I have taken up or even discontinue it if I feel I no longer wish to continue with it or it no longer appeals to me. This is all voluntarily by me and as such I hold no commitment to continuing with this if I so wish.
[/fieldset]

If you're all okay with all this, post your request below, but make sure you include as much reference material as possible, hosting the images yourself by using the attachment feature provided by MSFC. Bandwidth theft is frowned upon my many websites and their staff including MSFC. Also no links please unless I request them via PM.

Thank you.

A request I took up for Chief_Chainsaw, who has disappeared for well like 6 months now. If any of you can contact him, please do so and let him know he can contact me here as one of his ships are almost complete.

Despite, contact or no contact. I will be completing this model and releasing it on MSFC, as someone else might be after this.

Chief has actually reappeared over at A2 Files. Apparently, Xbox 360 and unemployment are a dangerous combination, lol.

I may be interested in this offer, I'll need to look around for ship designs though.

Looks promising for a thread, I don't have a request currently so I'll just check from time to time. BTW, is that a custom ship you have there?

Looks promising, and i think that the break/departure from A2 itself will do you some good. Who knows, maybe you'll find you'll miss it down the road and get some of your love for it back :).

The carrier looks good though. And I may have a request lined up for you. depends how my efforts to learn modelling go lol

Well I don't go over there much any more and when I do it's pretty brief, I more so visit SOASE Files and EAW Files.

Yes it is, not completely finished and I do plan to revamp it a bit as after looking at it I am not entirely happy with it.

Anything is possible, right now modelling is what I am focusing on. :)

I am still a basic modeller but the more I do it the better I get as practise is the key to everything now isn't it?

I found a Romulan ship I would like for A1. It's called the Fvilla class and it can be found here. We can contact the designer at Timdavies79@hotmail.com or Suricata@gmail.com for permissions. If you make the model then I can make the textures. I'd still need somebody to do hardpointing though. Bigger picture below.

I could give the hardpoints a go. I am not too bad at it. I'll just need to know where the weapon ports are.

It's in Yesteryears and will be released in part one of that mod. It's my next project to complete after Clash of Empires.

I schedule that COE will be completed early in the new year, after which YY will be finished. The first part (Federation and Gorn) are almost complete themselves with only a model or two needing completion. Most of the work on it is coding.

Well I have half a dozen models left for COE, some coding and all the gritty stuff then I will resume my work on YY and at the very least get part 1 out as soon as possible.

After which I will gradually work on other parts, and release them when I complete them, of course may be a while as I will be concentrating on my modelling and maybe modding other games, but I dare say that the Klingon, Romulans and Secret Race will still be released at some point.

Wow that's a lot to look forward to then, will the remainder of the Parallels stuff be done after the COE and YY stuff or somewhere in the middle?

Either way, I'm really looking forward to all of it :)

It would also be great to see this Romulan ship available for Armada II too, it looks very cool.

I would like to see the Phobos Class.

I would also like to see this ship, she looks cool and seems like she'd fit alongside the Constitution-class or the Miranda, or Proxima-class included.

Somewhere in the middle, mate. I'll release them here and there so I am always releasing something while the big projects are being worked on and waited on.
