Hey everybody!

If you're a member over at the armada fleet command armada or BOTF forums or you're a follower of one of the BOTF2 fan sequels then you may have seen me posting away about stuff in those places lol.

Thought I'd join here as I've been massively into Armada fan games lately eg playing Armada 3 mod for Sins and Armada Fleet Operations 3rd party mods like Roots and Dominion Wars but for some reason I couldn't sign up to the fleet ops forums (to report bugs and throw praise at the devs and modders) so I thought I'd come here instead lol! Been playing Fleet Ops for years and semi regularly post videos of Fleet Ops LAN party games on youtube.

Not really a talented modder (at least not with post 90s games lol) so I haven't have any amazing armada mods to show off sorry lol, and am more here as a fan of other peoples mods. However I am the creator of Star Trek Doom and Quest for Glory 4-3D Hexen which you may have seen as they've made it to a few big news sites and magazines for some weird reason lol. Currently working on some Civ2 mods (20years too late lol) based on Heroes of Might & Magic, C&C and Star Wars.

I'm a huge retro Trek gaming fan and have a massive retro website tribute to all the Trek games I grew up playing and many of the fan mods and sequels I've enjoyed since. As a resault I'm always on the hunt for cool new Trek fan games and mods to try out and tribute.

I can see you've got some other cool sections too so I'm looking forward to posting about Picard series, Babylon 5 (I'm semi active on a few B5 forums out there), BOTF and all things Armada and retro Trek Gaming related lol.

Opps sorry. Its just my standard sig I use on every forum I'm at. I promise I did check your rules and saw the no links in sig rule so the image had no link and didn't go anywhere, and I checked the image dimensions and it was within the limits of 500x160

Which other rule did I miss?

Advertising directed to your site.

It's rule one . We have that rule for a reason This site is self funded own and operated by few of the members and is a big reason that no pop ups or ads of any kind will ever be on this site . Plus it can redirect browser bots to content we have no control over. this can and has lead to issues with Google and other blacklisting the site in their search algorithms. The staff really do not wish to go thru that mess again.

But once again welcome to the site .

oh and quick question sorry.. while I have no intention of going inactive for a year sometimes 'life happens' and before you know it a year has gone by since your last post. So what is the process for returning if you account is terminated for inactivity?

Eg when you try to login to your old inactive account is there an option to reactivate? Or is there an email to contact you guys for reactivation? or is it a case of 'once deleted = permanently deleted' and you'd need to create a brand new account on the site and start over?

Thanks that's good to know. I was thinking "how on earth do we contact you if we don't have an account anymore" but I see there's a 'contact us' button on the bottom for the forum so I guess that's the place to go haha.

BTW How come you guys have such a low timeout on post editing? Seems like it's only 5-10 minutes?

When I thought of my question the edit timeout had already kicked in on my last post so I had to make a separate post which I can see you've kindly combined for me but I would have happily done that myself had I been able to.

Plus while I always proof read my posts it amazing how often I find a spelling mistake or grammar error when I leave and come back to the post later lol! I'm a member of a few other forums out there that have edit timeouts but they usually range from 24hrs to 7 days.

Thanks haha yeah I pretty much love all scifi haha. Grew up watching Star Wars and Star Trek films in 80s, spent my teens watching B5 & Trek tv, my 20s watching Stargate and BSG, and nowadays I enjoy The Expanse and Walking Dead. Just to name a few haha.

Do new members get prompted to do that after sign up? I must have missed it as normally I do all required validations when signing up to places.
