Hey guys! It's been a while. How are things? Have I missed anything cool? Or not cool?

I graduated undergraduate and graduate school in the last few years, with my of area of study being in digital design, rapid prototyping, and fabrication. I'll be starting my full time job soon, in that field, and have been using my skills in the mean time for commissions and other projects. I'll post some of my own work later when I get caught up with everything else here.

Also, anyone here play Overwatch? I play a lot of Overwatch...

I do not play Overwatch myself. I am not a big fan of MOBAs or PvP in general. I just dabble a little in the games I do play (Destiny 2 and that Star Trek named MMO that a certain admin does not like ).

I"m currently in full costuming gear as I will be attending NYCC this year as my last hurrah before work. Afterwards, I'll do a huge dump of pictures and things for models I have made, and fabricated.

As for the gaming, I recommend adding your info to our MSFC Multiplayer Center (also friendly reminder to everyone else that this exists).

And as for the apocalypse, I've had the litter box nuclear-blast-proofed after they promoted me, and I've practiced my Greater Invocation of Eldritch Tentacles. The stockpiles of canned tuna will be protected!

Seconding the reminder that it exists. There's not a whole lot going on there right now, but we do have a Civilization 5 match almost every week and new players are welcome. We even provide tips to each other during play and different players can be set to different difficulty levels, so don't worry about not knowing what you're doing. Civ5 also goes on sale for quite cheap pretty regularly.

Oh nice! I actually have Civ 5. I bought it to play with friends and we played a couple matches but I have no idea if I'm any good haha. Because it is turn based the matches lasted about a week each. But that sounds like fun!

Sounds about right for time. We typically do Sundays starting around 3:00PM or 4:00PM GMT/UTC (3:00PM-6:00PM in most of Europe, 7:00AM-12:00PM in most of North America), play for a few hours, and take a few weeks to complete a game. The hybrid turns option helps a lot, though - lets players who aren't at war with human players take their turns simultaneously.

If I remember correctly, we actually chose Sundays because one of us had something planned for Saturday on the first week, but I think that was a one-time event and we just stuck to Sunday for consistency, so we might be able to switch to Saturdays if need be? I'm not sure. We could discuss.

But yeah, just post your Steam username and some games you'd be interested in playing to the Multiplayer Center and we can get you added to the big list.
