• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Happy B-Day TNG

What are you peoples first experiances with star trek? Was is Next gen that got you into it? or was it DS9, Voyager? Come on Spill it!

It was The Next Generation for me, too. :D Though prior to seeing that first episode in TNG, I had already seen the movie TMP. :)

I was introduced to TOS way back in 1984 by my dad, then TAS (how I recovered from that I will never know!!!), I would have to say my clearest memory is that of the films.

I started with TNG in 1994, I then started to watch DS9 and then went onto TOS and TAS. Then when Voyager came out I started to watch it and went into watching the movies as well.

TNG and the Voyage Home were the two most memorable Trek's for me when I was young.

I started watching TNG in 1994, and the obsession grew from there lol :)

All the series and movies were good, and I have seen all of them as well as all of the series god knows how many times and I have no intention of stopping now :D

P.S - good idea with this thread :)

i wouldnt say all the movies were good, i still don't accept (Or own for that matter ) Star Trek 5 as a trek movie. Sci-fi and religion should stay far apart, especially when sci fi is trying to Kill religion. the exception is stargate which did it very well.

yeah, I wasn't really referring to the religion aspect of it, but the other parts (Scotty: I know this ship like the back of my hand *walks into a wall and gets knocked out* ) were good.

And I agree, Stargate did very well with that storyline

Time to get this thread back on subject. If you want to make a new thread on the separation of church and scifi. You could continue this there. I might even join in on that one.
