• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Happy 2008

Well today is the 1st of January 2008, at least down here it is, for you up north it will be in a few hours.

Anyway, 2007 was a good year, it had it's ups and downs like any other year but all in all it was a good year.

I would like to take a moment and say for the site, MSFC, 2007 was a good year. Not only did we expand our membership, but many new features came to the site, new staff members joined our ranks, new projects came to know MSFC as home and our projects hosted here moved along at a good pace.

We did loose a project or two due to cancellation, a member leave here and there but all in all I have to say 2007 was a good year for us. I look forward to 2008 and hope it is as successful as last year and we continue to expand into the many fields we cater for.

I would really like to thank the members who have helped to keep MSFC a friendly and progressive site. I would also like to thank the staff in helping me to keep this place running, especially Paul, Hellkite and Syf. The first two have managed to keep the RPG's in running order which has allowed me to free up time for some of the projects I have running myself. And Syf, without him I would be in over my head, he manages to keep the site running when I am unable to.

I would like to also thank those who have already donated to the site, showing their support and helping to keep it up and running. You can find out who these people are by clicking on the donations link under quick links in the navigation bar. To these people I would also like to say your contributions won't go unnoticed, I have several features I plan to offer to donors so stay tuned.

Lastly I would like to say Happy New Year everyone!

Happy New Years to all.

I hope this year will be the best yet. I've started it with kicking off a project I wanted to work on so far (DD24.5), as well as working on delivering Majestic the next model for Yesteryears. This will be the first model in almost a month for the mod (because I got stuck working wayyyy too many hours at work).

I can say that from what all I know is happening, '08 is going to be better than this last year.

Oh and thank you Majestic... I do what I can!

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days o' auld lang syne

CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely ye’ll be your pint-stoup!
And surely I’ll be mine!
And we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

CHORUS

We twa hae run about the braes,
and pou’d the gowans fine;
But we’ve wander’d mony a weary fit,
sin’ auld lang syne.

CHORUS

We twa hae paidl’d in the burn,
frae morning sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar’d
sin’ auld lang syne.

CHORUS

And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere !
And gies a hand o’ thine!
And we’ll tak a right gude-willie-waught,
for auld lang syne.

CHORUS

The lyrics are the orginal 1760...thats right, I said 1760 Scottish version written by Robert Burns. No sauceyness at all. Check out Auld Lang Syne - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Srry if that broke a rule.

I will donate to MFSC as soon as my Bank gets on the right track. (Walmart accidently charged me twice for the same purchase and since it was a little pricey, All my Christmas shopping at once, it overdrew my account, pretty bad.)

Syf, what do you think is an acceptable donation. Please don't say any thing like "whatever your comfortable with" or BS like that. Give me a reasonable amount you would like to see. $25.00US sound good.

Now, unto the book, Will this be pubically published for national distrubition, or locally retailed. Because if it is the book I think it is, I would LOVE to get my hands on a copy.

Also my resolutions...lose weight, (ya right) :yum: I don't know, I got a few kit bash projects in the back of my closest I never finished... I guess my resolution is to finish some things I started, and pass my knowledge to my boy.

Well, as an Admin I can not suggest how much one should donate. If you feel you want to donate, by all means do so. You can donate $5 up to $100. All donations go toward paying for the continued operational costs as well as new features. We think highly of anyone that donates even $5. That's $5 more for the site to use and grow with. So sorry, I have to say any amount you wish to donate. You take care of your family first. Donating is not manditory, nor expected. My goal when I was suggesting the donation feature to Majestic is to allow others to contribute. People often ask what they can do around here to help out (we have a lot of great people here on MSFC)... Well, that is the biggest help in modern times.

Think of it like this, If all active members donated $5 (we have over 80 Active members, not counting the members that rarely show up on the site), then just those are enough to pay for the next year of services that otherwise Majestic pays for out of his own pocket.

Now, unto the book, Will this be pubically published for national distrubition, or locally retailed. Because if it is the book I think it is, I would LOVE to get my hands on a copy.
I have not stated what the book is, but it is a Sci-fi themed novel that I hope to have published internationally.

Also my resolutions...lose weight, (ya right) :yum: I don't know, I got a few kit bash projects in the back of my closest I never finished... I guess my resolution is to finish some things I started, and pass my knowledge to my boy.
I wish you all the success in your goals this year.

About the book, Syf, I was assuming in was the FanFics you and Majestic were talking about earlier.

BTW can we type in addbreviations like TY, YW, GD. And can we type "Maj" for Majestic???

Abbreviations are usually fine. If you'll notice, it is common actually. For you, I sometimes use TMC (not to be confused with TM, which is another member).

The Book is not a fanfic. I could not have such a thing published without first getting a license from CBS in relation to anything Star Trek. No, My book is a completely original story. And I plan to finish it in the next 4 months. So I hope that 2008 will be a good year by getting it on the shelves of the different stores. First across the US and North America, then internationally. Hence, why it is one of my resolutions for 2008.

I am honored to be consider such a member who is deemed an abbreviation.

Anyway, any hints as to what the book is or about. Otherwords, may I have a peek at the storyline, or plot?
