• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I know Ghost in the Shell is an Anime But it is a strong sci fi show of which a couple of sources on the internet have stated that it is almost on par with Battlestar Galactica ( I don't really believethat because BSG was exceptional ) and while I don't beleive that is entirely true, I is a good show with good laughs, great action sequences and some real thought invoking questions about the future both the good things and the possible problems.

The characters are quite strong and the Multipeds that support the team are very funny and quite interesting in both design and how they fight etc. Plus with voices and personalities of "ditzy Cheerleaders" as it says on the booklet accompanying the box set they make for an interesting addition to the team.

Well just wandering if anyone has seen it and what -if you have- you think of it. I am only in to it a few episodes but I really like it so far.

Anywho thanks for reading as always and I thank you and look forward to reading any of your replies. :)

Well im a huge fan of most anime. Yes ive seen GIAS and i do love it to this your not alone. In the Relm of Sci Fi i have to say its pretty up there. But im a huge Gundam Fan and tend to lean towards the series as apposed to GIAS, so on my list its third falling behind only Gundam and Macross. btw if you like Stand alone there is the next "part" (idk havent gotten to it yet) Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG

I became an anime fan by default. My daughter attends a college preparatory school and is a huge fan of anime and manga both. For Christmas last year she gave me a couple of mangas based on Star Trek TOS. I was quite surprised at the quality and depth of the stories in them. I was equally surprised at how true to the spirit of TOS they are. I have begun watching some of the things she does and I am delighted at how well done they are overall.

Sorry, Ive never seen the Anime, but I seem to remember playing the PS1 game a while back - you were in some kind of mech type thing, with four (or six?) legs, you could jump and climb on walls, in a really free roaming environ. It was really good - I wonder if I can still find it?

But it was definately Ghost in the Shell - Im certain of it.

My Anime experience doesnt go much beyond the Patlabor movies and Akira, sorry...
