• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Ladies and gentlemen ( term used loosely  ) I had gotten a few things of my Dad's after his passing. Of these things were a box of Star Trek memorabilia. A bunch of those Micro Machines Star Trek ships, a die cast of a Ferengi Marauder, Regula 1, Oberth, and a poster of the Enterprise A. I thought to myself that the poster would make an awesome desk top. Well, I scanned it in and pieced it back together (I had to scan it in four sections). Well, I have decided to share it with the community. I will also use this thread for any other 2-D art I do or STO Screenshots that could make good desk tops.

Enterprise A

Use it if you like. I know my Dad would have liked it this way.

Awesome thanks mate, a bit too small for me to use as a desktop considering I have a wide-screen monitor but thanks for sharing as it looks great. :)

I had the same problem when I put it on my screen but, I used photoshop to increase the image size. The image is still smooth so I can add it if you would like.

I am sure there would be many here that would like a larger view, I probably wouldn't use it myself as I try to avoid light colour desktop images but it's a great image and thanks for sharing it with us. :)

Nice job on piecing it back together - I like it, even the leering portrait of Kirk smirking back at me - a really nice idea very well executed, well done!

ah a nice trip down memory lane. I still need to move that out of the parents house (once I figure out where to put it in mine!). The poster was also in a BoP kit, and as others have stated its a great poster - tonnes of detail, used to spend ages just taking in the lines.

Kirks smirk was a bit off putting at times though

Ok, here is a larger version of the image. Thank you all for the nods.

1366x759

Also, here is a background I did using Blender a while back. It uses the Alternate Klingon Battle cruiser from STXI (by Ricky "madman" Wallace) and an image from Digital Blasphemy.

Hello:
Those are very nice pics, the larger Enterprise poster is very cool, just like the model kit of the Enterprise-A, I have a similar one, also with a shuttlecraft, but the pic was different.

THat Klingon Cruiser looks deadly, it might have been only one, but still has a punch and should not be taken lightly:D.

Thank you. I am just getting started with Blender. Once I learn how to use multiple blender files in a single scene, there will be more ships.

A beautiful tribute, SciFiFan. And the Blender image is a nice start! Good luck with that --looking forward to lots more!
