The Crooked World is a BBC novel by Steve Lyons released in June 2002. It features the Eighth Doctor, Fitz and Anji.
This is Doctor Who meets Looney Tunes as the Doctor, Fitz and Anji lands in a cartoon world, The Crooked World.
Like the world of the Looney Tunes cartoons, actions in the Crooked World has no consequences ie someone can be shot at without being killed.
However things changed when the Doctor, Fitz and Anji arrives.
Another thing to mention is that also in the story is the Skeleton Crew which is a parody on the Scooby-Doo gang (in fact on the bio page Steve Lyons' favourite cartoon series is indeed Scooby Doo).
This is a very fun adventure with only one minor niggle, the identity of the "God" of the Crooked World. The revelation of who this "God" is, I did not find to be very imaginative.
