Seventh episode of the second audio season of the Eighth Doctor New Adventures from Big Finish. Unlike the previous six episodes this was not broadcast on BBC7 late last year. It was released on CD in July 2008.
Written by Nicholas Briggs this is the first episode in the two parter that ends the second season of the said Eighth Doctor adventures and it is the sequel to the 1976 TV story The Brain of Morbius.
The title refers to the Sisterhood of Karn previously seen in the said TV story.
This is a Doctor-lite episode as the Doctor has a limited appearances here in this crackling start to this story.
Instead throughout most of this episode Lucie appears alongside the insect police marshal Rosto (played by Alexander Siddig who becomes the first Star Trek regular to appear in Doctor Who) and it is a very pretty good rapport between the two characters.
Kenneth Colley makes for a very kooky rich man Zarodnix who has bought the planet of Karn.
Also a good return of Nickolas Grace as Straxus.
A very good cliffhanger at the end.
Also included on the disc at the end are behind the scenes interviews and I am very glad that given his previous sci fi credit that Alexander Siddig enjoyed his time recording this story.
Also interesting to find out that Kenneth Colley had a role in the Star Wars movies which I did not know before.
