• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

For those who do not know about the Doctor Who Reconstructions:
http://recons.com/

"Many Doctor Who stories from the William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton eras are missing or destroyed. Loose Cannon Productions has attempted to recreate these missing episodes through use of telesnaps and other means. The reconstructions (or recons) of these missing or lost Doctor Who episodes are the hard work of the Loose Cannon Production Team."

Released only on VHS the recons are made by Doctor Who fans for Doctor Who fans. It is not done for monetary compensation and are available worldwide.

The recons are also not intended to be a substitute for the official BBC releases. It has made clear from its site to support the BBC releases.

An example of encouragement of the BBC releases is when they withdrew its recon of William Hartnell's last episode The Tenth Planet Episode 4 in favour of the official BBC Video release of the story:
LC04 - The Tenth Planet
"Following the official BBC release in 2000 (using their own reconstruction of episode 4), this recon has been withdrawn from circulation. Do not ask us for a copy! Instead, please purchase this official BBC video release (UK: BBCV6874)."

Now that I have explain what the recons are, here is the reason for this post - there is an online petition to 2 Entertain the distributors of the Doctor Who DVD releases asking Dan Hall, commissioning editor to include the recons as part of the official DVD releases.

The recons have been done extremely well and deserved to be available to the general public.
