• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. Number 1, Gallows Gate Road is an online short story on the official Doctor Who BBC website as part of the 2008 Advent calender.

Part 1:
BBC - Doctor Who - Advent Calendar 2008

Quite intriguing the Doctor wakes up in a house with him having no memory of him getting there.
Cute the reference to the Doctor's experience with Marco Polo.
Very mysterious on what is going on here.
What a climatic cliffhanger at the end.

Part 2:
BBC - Doctor Who - Advent Calendar 2008

A very good conclusion to the story.
The nature of the alien menace feels like the Weeping Angels from Blink.
The following line from the Doctor: "They're really just squiggly waves of psychic force", is one line that I can imagine David Tennant actually saying.
Quite surprised what the alien turned out to be even though it was staring me right in the face.
The way the alien is defeated sure helped Robert to decide what he wants to be when he is grown up.
A very nice ending to the story.
