• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

A very good conclusion to the story started by Human Nature.
I felt for Smith as he had to decide whether to turn back into the Doctor.
The explosion of the Family's ship made of think of the explosion of the Zygon ship in the 1975 serial Terror of the Zygons not to remind the ship being invisible does sort of remind me of the one in the unfinished TV but completed on audio serial Shada.
I wasn't expecting to see an overview of Tim's life which I think was done beautifully.

"Son of mine" Baines asked Rocastle what he knows of history the next year 1914. Baines does not seem to grasp what history is because Rocastle would not know what happens in 1914 as he hasn't experienced that year yet. Given what will soon happen to Rocastle, he would not get the chance to live through 1914.

Also in this episode Martha said the Family would soon die like mayflies. Since Martha had a limited appearance in the next episode Blink, The Family of Blood was Martha's last proper appearance before meeting Jack in Utopia.

Later on when Martha turned up in Torchwood in Reset she encountered the Mayflies. Whether intentional or not her line of mayflies in The Family of Blood foreshadowed her first appearance in Torchwood.
