Heh - yeah, its work related...

Im an international man or srs bsns ya know:)

My job takes me out of the country a lot - but usually within Europe (Brussels mainly) But this time... oh boy - West Africa!!

I am working on hiring an electrical power plant - its my job to negotiate teh deal and work with the contract.

Next is Ghana, and after that Burkina Faso... Possibly China too... But I am back home next week for two weeks...

Its hot, man, real hot... and the water has run out for flushing the toilet... and the water truck hasnt arrived yet today... But at least the AC still works:D

I think you need a theme song. Based upon what you've told us here. I suggest the following:

"I Get Around" by the Beach Boys

"Get around, get around, I get around.
Yeah, get around, get around, I get around.
I get around.
All over town.
I'm a real cool dude..."

Yes sir! round round get around I get around indeed!

Also - its not soooo bad... we have to use the old fashioned "bucket of water" method of toilet flushing... also, I get some really cool stamps on my passport... So far Ive been to Ghana, Liberia, Ivory Coast (not recently, thank god), and Senegal...

I also just ate a rather pleasant chicken sandwich...:excited:

He may have had a "chicken" sandwich, Kat, but he doesn't have clean tap water to drink, lol.

I wouldn't exactly drink our tap water either... it's disgusting and actually makes me really nauseous:p
Though Maj seems to like it.. :yuck:
I'll stick with my bottled water diet and be happy that at least that is something I have that is clean :p

True, very true... even the water at the hotel could easily burn a hole in your stomach... if it stays in there for that long...

Also, I had beer for dinner yesterday... it was... interesting...

lol, thats what I was thinking.

I haven't mentioned the gigantic mosquitoes yet...

Heh - the tap water in my native Scotland was the same... didn't actually do any harm, but it tasted foul (all the chlorine and other cleaning chemicals..)

I got your PM btw - sorry for not replying - I lost the connection to the wifi... (Go figure, Im in Africa!!) You take care of yourself matey, you hear!?!

Hey! It adds flavour. Bottled water for the most part is horrid to me, no flavour. Give me the chemicals and such, may not be good for you, but as the saying goes, what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger.

Oh the joys of International travel LOL All you need is a steady Diet of M.R.E.s
mostly the Crackers, Peanut butter or cheese from them and the toilet flushing problem would be a thing of the past ;)

You may want to get you one of these

He'd never be able to work it. Too many moving parts. As to the Meals Rejected by Everyone else suggestion, that's beyond cruel. lol

I haven't mentioned the gigantic mosquitoes yet...
How big are we talking, the size of your hand or the size of a dinner plate?

I think it's great. Myself I wish I could travel more, but my job only takes me 'round the county :)

Bottled water? Not for me either. Why should I pay more than a Euro plus 25 cents return fee on water, when I can get good Berlin water out of the tap?
(Our city#s water supply is marked as 'good quality'.)

Gaseous.

Nah - its not too bad actually, Im in Chengdu, right slap in the middle of China (in Szechwan) its a gigantic city, around 14million people, but it is also known to be one of the least polluted and cleanest cities in China (you actually see the sun in the blue sky)...

Yeah, I would assume that the air quality gets better the further you are from the coast since coastlines tend to be more heavily populated.

How is it out there? Have you gotten to do any sight seeing?
