• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

Back in the late 60's and eary 70's the was a Show called Dark Shadows
it was a gothic soap opera, which follows the strange happenings to the Collins family and their surrounding friends. The show features everything from Vampires, to Witches, werewolves... you name it. all and all not a bad show for its day.

Much to my detriment this was a popular show as I was growing up. I may need to elaborate how it was a detriment, Lets start if you not aware my real Surname is Collins. So for my first years of school and not small part to my kindergarten teach being a massive fan of this series and by being such a fan made she my class mates aware of it, on the first day with a joke " That We that a young vampire in our class." Needless to say it was not the first impression of me that that I wanted my class mates get of me  Not good to say the lest. and this was reinforced by my mother pick of my Halloween costume that year "Dracula"...

Know figure it out that my son is about ready to go to Kindergarten this comes out

Plot for the new movie Dark Shadows 2012

In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet-or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy...until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better... Written by Warner Bros. Pictures

 Maybe my Family is cursed with is show or at lest the first born males are

I would hope it would flop in the theaters but it a Johnny Depp and Directed by Tim Burton so no luck there

I remember this show. Very dark. Very moody. Very complex. Very much ahead of its time. Liked it. Not too sure how the film will play as a comedy, even with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton working it. It will either succeed wildly or go down in flames spectacularly. Neither of these two ever do anything halfway. Quite refreshing. HK, please tell me your Mom understood the deep psychological trauma she inflicted by making you go to Kindergarten with a prototype TwiTard for a teacher. Never got the whole 'vampires are HAWT!' thing, myself. My high school biology classes taught me some things just are not possible without blood pressure.

BTW, HK. My favorite character was Quentin. Barnabas was always wrapped just a bit too tight for me.
