• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Evenin' all,

It's a bit strange, me posting in the Dr Who section of the forum, but hey ho.

Ok, for those that don't know, I do a bit of volunteer work at the local tourist railway. Mostly in the commercial area, souvenir shop, things like that. But anyway, This weekend (well, Sunday and Bank-Holiday-Monday) is quite a strange weekend there, as we are hosting a Dr Who themed event.

Railway website: CVR Home php
Dalek Invasion '09 flyer: CVR Dalek Invasion

[Btw, this isn't advertising, I'm not saying "You should go!", I'm just posting this as it's a Dr Who thing and I'll have some cool photos soon enough]

Anyway, basically what it is is there's a load of Daleks (fully operational, moving, talking, and making smoke) roaming around a railway station, along with a David Tenant impersonator (or two; see below). There's also toy stalls (run by me), and activities for the kids (making Daleks from polystyrene cups, making cyberman masks, etc etc), so it's a pretty good day out.

As I said, the first day was yesterday, in which time we sold 80% of our toy stall stock, and were completely knackered. Later, while explaining to a friend in Brazil why I was so tired, and then trying to explain what Doctor Who is, I sent her a photo I found on Google, of David Tenant in front of a Tardis. She thought it was me... I don't have a trench coat, but if I wear my suit and normal coat I'll (allegedly) look close enough to get some good photos...

[Added photos of day One]
Photo 1: David Tenant impersonator and Dalek
Photo 2: David Tenant impersonator and Dalek
Photo 3: Another Dalek, me, and Tardis
Photo 4: About as close as I can get, I think... I'm not sure if it'll work, but could be fun...

I'll be taking more photos and videos of the event today, so more to see soon!

Rather interesting, it's a shame they never do anything like this over here in AU.
