Compact Dream - GUI Under Construction

hey guys, i thought of creating a new GUI mod for a2.
based on Compact Clear, this GUI redefines the word compact.

Before i do end in posting a long description of the included features, i do just post a screenshot here.

Next step are the GUI textures, because that transparent black style and those mac style buttons are already way too old.

I thought of creating a legacy mod, but when i read your post, i decided to create this


that gui didnt look to good, when no station was selected, so i rearranged it a lil bit and got this:
(buttons in the left corner will be fixed, and i still need to get rid of the black background )

I prefer to have the gui still up for the screen shots this way the info is said for the mod i am working on, that and it helps make it look nicer, your GUI's are looking great and keep up this good work please.

Ill try to constantly improve my work. This GUI wont use all aspects from project blue,. Those buttons in the top right and the buildbar are now race-specific for this GUI only.
Hopefully, youll like them as much as the project blue ones


Anyway im dumb enough to create race-specific command buttons. I did count 55 to do
So.... the release date is not foreseeable yet.

While doing the buttons, ive discovered that some arent used in stock Armada 2.
Is it correct that all of the following buttons arent used, or did anyone else ever see them in game?
- b_standdown gbstnddn00
- b_close gbclose
- b_form3 gbform3
- b_form4 gbform4
- b_move gbgenorders1
- b_flag gbflag00

ive decided to include the CTF flag button, but im still not sure if there is a need for those other buttons.

I wouldn't worry about the others, but perhaps include the button template in say a editable Photoshop Format so if it is needed down the road by a downloader they can use your template to make up a button themselves.

It would also allow people to edit them for other races as well, as your GUI looks like it is aimed at the Federation.

I do that with the build and special weapon buttons, because i dont want to create all of them^^
But its a good idea to include an empty command button too, thanks.

She looks great Fahres, I can't wait to get her in my game. After I upload it for everyone else first of course.
