• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Excellent news. :) And is there a specific program we'd have to do this in? Or just a theme and poly limit we have to obey?

Lord_Trekie, I am guessing any program will do and they would be converted to 3DS format or something, Syf would know more than I.

Perhaps down the road I may join in but my modelling skills aren't that developed at the moment but if it was a Star Trek contest I would join as I have a good idea for a design.

I look forward to this getting started, there aren't many modellers left in the A2 community and its good to see there are still a few around :)

Just a note, this site is note just about armada. While both games are great, and fun to mod, we also cater to ALL games, movies, and anything else sci-fi.:lol:

Sorry Bud, I just had to clear that up.:thumbsup:

But to a degree, the model contest will be "game" applicable. (At least on next gen games).

You are quite welcome to host anything of mine here, no need to ask.

Also I am working on a new tutorial Syf, more of a complete one. It'd help to have someone who can write an MS3D alternative once it's done, if you are interested.
