I'm planning to make a mod which will include several from various sci-fi universes and even real life.

So far I've got:
-Two versions of the Cosmo Tiger from Space Battleship Yamato

-An improved version of the FA-37, I made about a year ago

-The SA-43 Hammerhead

Also planned is the X-Jet from the X-Men movies and the real life German Me-262

Now in order to claim the title Ultimate I'm going to need more fighters than this, something like 10 maybe 15 different fighters.

So in other words, I need ideas for fighters, preferably ones that have not being done before on this site (otherwise I'd just stick the Aurek fighter, L-wing and G-wing, from the KOTOR mod into this pack) or ones in the process of being made like Vipers or Raiders that will feature in the BSG mod.

They can be from any era or universe and they even can be purely airborne fighters.

Anyway give me your suggestions

Looking great, love the Hammerhead from SAAB as well as the jets out of the movie with the AI ship that went nuts, can't for the life of me remember the shows name though.

Oh next time could you use the
taggs for the images as long as they are under 800x600 pixels? Thanks.

As for fighter ideas, waht about the Peacekeeper Prowler from Frascape, the Tac Fighter from Starship Troopers or those weird fighters from the Lost in Space movie you see in the beginning?

That film was called Stealth wasn't it?, come to think of it you could even make the fighter plane that was controlled by the AI (the sleek pale gold coloured one).

I'd really like to see some of the fighters from the game "Tachyon: The Fringe", there were some great fighter models in that game.

Great idea with the fighter pack :)

Looking good so far... though I don't envy the amount of balancing you'll have to do

Maybe some from Robotech/Macross? You could even use the fusion weapon to change between fighter and giant robot thing.

That aside; what I've always liked is he Orca from Command and Conquer. Not really space bound but it would fly...

Theres always the subfighters from seaquest, they aren't flying machines I know but you could always do those if you run out of candidates.

Well I won't really be focusing on balancing as much. Basically when you download the completed mod there will be a zip and inside will be around a dozen individual mods and which ones you chose to install are up to you.

I'm probably going to make them all pretty much nearly equal otherwise I would have to go through hundreds and hundreds of threads to determine which is more powerful than which.

Sounds like a good approach, and it's interesting to see how some of the suggestions made here have also been made over at the FF forums.
