• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Galaxy Class Variants

A2 Galaxy Class Variants 1.0

This is my version of the Galaxy class. As with the Nebula, I couldn't resist the challenge of creating it. I like the Galaxy's without the same
registration. This is also the first time, I've added damagetextures.
This file contains 3 versions:
the oiginal Galaxy with the possibility of saucer and stardrive section sepeation,
the Venture .
The Galaxy Class Venture variant is an upgrade of the original class. Starfleet needed a stronger battleship in the Dominion war.
These ships performed very well and played a major role in combat.
the Galaxy refit
The Galaxy Class, outdated by the new Sovereign class, needed an upgrade and was therefore refitted extensively. Armament and defense systems were upgraded
and the class was equipped with a third nacelle allowing higher warp speeds. Armed with new devastating plasmacannons, this class can fight off any enemy ship."

Important Note:
You need to install the Star Trek Armada II Patch Project 1.2.5 first, otherwise the special weapons won't work.
Make a backup of your existing files, because files in this folder will overwrite the stock files!

Installation instructions
Open the fGalaxy folder
Open the SOD folder -->
Copy and paste the sod files into the sod folder of Armada II. When prompted to overwrite, click 'yes'.
Open the ODF folder --> Open shipsfolder
Copy and paste the ODF files into the ODF ship folder.When prompted to overwrite, click 'yes'.

Open the weapons ODF folder --> open the Phasers folder
Copy and paste put the phasers files in the phasers ODF folder of Armada II. When prompted to overwrite, click 'yes'.
Open the special weapon folder
Copy and paste the files in the special weapon ODF folder of Armada II.
Open the texture folder
Copy and paste the tga files into the texture RGB folder of Armada II. When prompted to overwrite, click 'yes'.
Open the Bitmaps folder
Copy the images
Open Armada II Bitmapsfolder --> open Admiralslog --> open ShipImages and paste the images there. When prompted to overwrite, click 'yes'.
( I include the MS3D files for those who are interested.)
