• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I haven't found a model of the Aegian that truely did the design justice so I decided to make my own.

Installation Instructions:

NOTE: If you want to replace the stock Aegian with this ship, make sure to rename tnc_aegean.bmp to ffrigate.bmp, tnc_aegean.odf to ffrigate.odf, and tnc_aegean.sod to ffrigate.sod. DO NOT rename TNC_Aegean.tga or TNC_Aegean_b.tga. Renaming the wireframes and build button are optional.

1) Place the tnc_aegean.bmp file in Bitmaps/Admirals Log/Ship Images folder
2) Place the tnc_aegean.odf file in ODF/Ships folder
NOTE: Skip to step 4 if you are replacing the stock Aegian.
3) Open which ever station you wish to build this ship. Find the ship building section. After the last entry, add the following, making sure to replace the 'X' with the next number in the list:
buildItemX = "tnc_aegean"
4) Place the tnc_aegean.sod file in the SOD folder.
NOTE: Skip to step 6 if you are replacing the stock Aegian.
5) Open tech1.tt, located in the techtree folder. After the last entry in the Federation Ships section, add the following:
tnc_aegean.odf 0
6) If you're playing the Classic mod for FO, place gbtnc_aegean.tga, TNC_Aegean.tga, and TNC_Aegean_b.tga into the Textures folder. If you're not playing a Fleet Ops mod, place gbtnc_aegean.tga, TNC_Aegean.tga, and TNC_Aegean_b.tga into the Textures/RGB folder.
7) Open gui_global.spr in the Sprites folder. Scroll down to the Federation build buttons section. Add the following line:
b_tnc_aegean gbtnc_aegean 0 0 64 64

Hello: I agree with Jetfreak as your recreation is more faithful to the original than the ship by Aad Moerman. The texture looks very nice too! Although I can see the Borg love the ship so much their added sections cover the entire thing :D . Keep it up!

The Aegian is reborn, and a pretty faithful recreation of the original.
