"George Takei, one of the original 'Star Trek' cast members, has been hired to play the father of the 'Star Trek'-obsessed Hiro on NBC`s 'Heroes.'
The shows creator, Tim Kring told TV Guide in an exclusive interview that, 'It was one of those lightning-bolt ideas.'
Masi Oka, who plays Hiro on the show, added: 'This is absolutely brilliant! I just hope I get to say, `Dad! Sulu is my hero, not you!`'
