Speaking of Pegasus it is on tonight for those who are only seeing season 2 on 10.
Pegasus was nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation Short Form but lost out to Doctor Who: The Empty Child & The Doctor Dances. Now tonight you get to decide whether Pegasus is as good as those two Doctor Who episodes. (As someone who has already seen it, the answer is it definitely is that good.)

Pegasus:
Some interesting things about this episode-
Michelle Forbes plays Admiral Cain. The character of Commander Cain was played in the original series two parter The Living Legend by Lloyd Bridges.
Michelle is well known to sci fi fans for her recurring role as Ensign and then Lieutenant Ro in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Here in BSG she plays an admiral. Quite a promotion.
Although not an episode she appeared herself but one of the TNG episode was also called Pegasus and it was written by BSG developer Ron Moore. Surprised that he did not write this BSG episode himself.

Most impressive of this episode comes towards the end with Adama and Cain about to have a face-off.

EDIT: Found this out from the TV.com note on the TNG episode:
"The name Pegasus for the lost ship is a reference to the "lost ship" on the original Battlestar Galactica. Writer Ronald D. Moore went on to make a new version of Battlestar Galactica and included a ship called Pegasus in it."

The Captain's Hand:
The first commander of the Pegasus, Admiral Cain was played by Michelle Forbes as I have mentioned before. In this episode the Pegasus' commander is played by John Heard. Interestingly both Ms Forbes and Heard later had/have a recurring role in Prison Break. Amazing casting.
