A couple of years ago Babylon 5 creator J Michael Stracynski and Bryce Zabel made a pitch for their own Star Trek series which ultimately did not go anywhere. Well their treatment has been made available at
http://bztv.typepad.com/newsviews/files/ST2004Reboot.pdf

It has been available for almost two weeks now but I only got a hard copy of it on the weekend which is why I did not post sooner on this.

For me it works. However, an alternate download link: Click Here (http://people.freenet.de/eas_intrepid/ST2004Reboot.pdf)

However, that's a quite interesting concept, though a little too much BSG revisited.

I think JMS also wanted to do some scripts for Enterprise, but was turned down or so.

This is exactly what STAR TREK needs. A reboot is a good idea. I sure wish the people in control of Star Trek would allow this. More accuratly, See the profit in this (dang Ferengi).

but getting back on topic

I for one would not like to see it redone
But what I like to see would be the story to do is move on a quit the prequals stuff and not bog it self down in the past

Neither link is working for me. I have tried them in two different browsers (Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer).

Theta's link worked for me the first time.

Edit: I just tried both and they are working for me. I'm not sure why they are not for anyone else.

It certainly does look interesting. Going back to basics can often find what was originally intended, it had the potential to do something.
