You know something Majestic, this makes me think of making a BSG vs SW STA2 Mod... Possibly???

Eventually that will be what Beyond the Horizon will be, I will do the five Armada 2 races I mentioned in the mod forum, then I will add the Rebel Alliance, and the Imperial Remmnant. Battlestar Galactica and Stargate units will be map units.

Nice pic though Majestic, I could see it happening.

Well I was thinking a strictly BSG vs SW. So maybe Colonials vs Cylons vs Imperials vs Rebels... No Stargate, or anything else. Or just Colonials vs Imperials.

It's amazing what a single pic posted 6 months ago can inspire.

Lol, yeah, it is amazing isn't it, I didn't notice that at first. Maybe there should be a minimod from the SW: Fleet Command mod and the Battlestar Armada or Parallels mods...

I am sure alot of it can be taken from the completed Parallels once completed. Parallels has both the Colonials and Imperials in it so thats would be half the mod (model wise) done.

That would be cool, I would even be willing to help on it, since it seems like everyone is doing two mods at once anyway.

I personally think that this project is best started towards the end of Parallels production. I am sure Intrepid and the other Parallels modellers would see no problem with the Colonials and Imperials models being used in the BSG vs SW mod.

That would even free up time for many people currently producing mods like myself. It would also cut production of a BSG vs SW mod almost in half.

Currently many modellers/modders on this site have anywhere from 2 to 3 or 4 projects going at the current time.

I myself have 2 A2 mods plus two other projects going not to mention on the team for Intrepid's Babylon 5 A2 mod.

Actually, I was working on 5 mods at the same time, up until I put a hold on all Federations projects and stepped away from parallels. I had CF 1 (Yes, I was keeping the light on), MW 1, and F1 all in the works, and then I added Parallels and Yesteryears to my list. Now I'm only working on Yesteryears with Majestic. I'm not really planning on modding A2 much after that. I'll be working on a few new games of my own, including Red Ash, which I plan to make as a potential replacement for STA, as far as moddability.

But I may be interested in contributing to a mod after Yesteryears, in a small way if anyone wants to meet this challenge of making a Galactica Wars mod for A2. But only after Yesteryears models are completed.

Though I would not take part actively, I would even help if there are any wished modifications to my Colonial models.

Well, the pic is the inspiration for an idea. Of coarse, "IF" this does turn into a mod, then it should be moved. As long as the topic stay's within the confines of the image and related topic, I see no reason to change it. If it inspires talk of different things, like making a fan film or such, it is still on topic.

But I will keep an eye on this. As I said, IF a mod is actually formed out of this topic, then it will be moved.
