Ha, someone's been watching the Simpsons, right? "Bart vs Australia". It does go anti-clockwise.
If you think about it, water spiralling in the other direction is only one of many differences between North and South hemisphere. With having friends in Brazil I've learned:
- The School year goes from February to December, not September to July.
- Daylight Savings time is in effect there when it's not here. For example, in England DST is from 26-Mar to 29-Oct. In Brazil it's 15-Oct to 19-Feb. So from 26-Mar to 15-Oct there is a 4hr time difference, from 29-Oct to 19-Feb it's only 2 hours. And the other 2 periods it's 3 hours, when either both or neither our countries are in SummerTime. Then again, Daylight Savings sucks anyway.
- other things too, but i forget.
dosnt the sothan hemisphere have different star constelation as well
Actually the water doesn't spiral down the toilet here, and I'm not sure if it does down the plug hole either, however, I have never taken the time to sit and just watch it go down either.
It is weird in the loo, the new water from the back of the loo comes down and goes over the top of the other water which is sucked underneath and down the pipes.
And yes, our school year is from Febuary to December, Daylight Savings runs from October to March, and we don't get all of summer off, we get six weeks holidays over Christmas, and two weeks in between each term.
We also have a different star constellation, as we see the Southern Cross and that here, but don't see Orions Belt and things like that.
