View Full Version : What is the most memorable thing that happened to you today?
Well for me it was going to uni, realising that my computer was still on and knowing that the power cord keeps cutting out, I was worried that the battery would run out and that I would lose everything. So, I drove the hour home, turned off my computer, chose a new CD to listen to, and drove back down to uni for my tutorial.
And I was just talking to my dad just then, and he said that I wouldn't have lst everything, and I felt like a complete drip! What a waste of petrol! Grrrrrrr......
:(
Also something exciting...I saw something in the sky, like a meteor or something coming down really slowly at 6:30 this morning. By 9:30 it was coming down faster, and by 10:30 all that was left was a smoky streak across the sky. When I was getting close to uni, there was a huge fire where the smoky streak ended near the ground. How exciting! I swear that it was a meteor or asteroid or something! Woohoo (not for the fire, but for the meteor or asteroid....)! :D

You saw an UFO, as the flying object you encountered was not identified clearly.
I also had something nice. I don't know if some remember my essays about US Policy after WW II (this topic was the topic of my oral examination in a chosen subject; history). And I was asked to do this report again, on the university! :D
:D :D :D Wow that's fantastic EAS! How exciting! When do you present that?

Yesterday I was at the Internation Aerospace Exibition in Berlin (ILA) and saw one of Hellkite's F-16-colleagues flying. As well as the Top-Of-The-Line interceptor/multi-role combat aircraft MiG-29U.
A formaition of three WWII Russian aircrafts was also very impressive and the display of the old Skyraider attack fighter of the USN. Also the largest aircraft in the world: the Airbus A380. Man, that's a big plane!
My pizza in the evening was yummy, too.

Actually the A380 is the largest Passenger plane ever. In total weight and wingspan the Antonov An-225 is still reigning champion.

Yep, true. The An-225 "Mrija" (Ukranian for dream) is the largest aircraft.
But it was never line-produced and was meant for carrying Soviet rocket parts and the Soviet Shuttle "Buran" (Russian for blizzard or snow storm).
But impressive the A380 is.
Has no-one else memorable events on their days? :(
only 1 here
gettin a S rank killin the Uber weapon Ragnarok in Warship Gunner 2 ( man . that ship can blow u up 1 hit . and i had to kill all the subs before i killed it ! . had to totally redesign Midway ( used to be a AA Destroyer , now a anti Sub/Uber Weapon Battlecarrier :worship: ) , quality :D ) . great offence ( got a nice Wave Cannon on front , ASROC anti sub rockets , and 6 attack choppers ( 4 support chopers ) ) , and it has a max speed of 86 knots ! . perfect ship for the weapon of weapons ;)

For jet aircraft you are right, but since the original claim was largest aircraft that would right fully wooden crafts.
While the An-225 is the largest jet with a wingspan of 88.4m, the Hughs H-4 "Spruce Goose" has a wingspan of 97.5m.

Anyway, most memorable thing that happened to me today, or last night (as I just got up 2 minutes ago) was when I went to sleep - and that's about it. I'm sure your beautiful wife will have something to say about this. You may be serious but it's not really funny and it's not fair to those who love you. You're not useless or worthless! You are an important person and you do have meaning in both ours' and Amys' life. I know it's your illness speaking and not you the person, Elrond!!!! So please, think of Amy when you are down and how much it hurrts her to have you this way. She truly loves you and is your rock and if you or Amy need someone to talk to, that's what we are here for ok? am giving you a long distance cyber-hug to take the pain away and one for Amy as well, actually give each other a hug and that's from me. It really annoys me that people with outward disabilities get better treatment then those with inward ones and though there's advertisement and such, people with mental illness are treated like they have the plague!! It's a crime how they are treated, my Uncle has been in and out of hospital all his life because he suffers from depression.

Thanks Emma. Hugs back to you as well. :D It was just a hard couple of weeks. I'm fine now, for the moment LoL. Amy's been dealing with some family issues (a couple of people in her family have been sick) so she's been gone sometimes to visit them. And that kinda really got me bummed, for quite a few reasons. Oh well, she's here now which is great. She called me on the phone the day before she came back and sounded almost worse than I was cause she was crying and couldn't talk too well because of it. That just made me super bummed out. Then financial issues such as dealing with several different bills at once. They're paid but I feel so broke, so that made me feel ultra-super bummed out. One thing on top of another, kinda like a building pancaking in on itself.
But things are better, for the moment.
Thanks, Elrond.

Yep, yesterday Amy and I went to the movies and it was great because no one was there. We went to see X-Men 3 for the second time. Unfortunately, we didn't catch a good amount of it, but it's all good. LoL
Today we went to the park which is basically the next thing to heaven when she's with me. The weather's cooler so that's a plus.

^That's good Elrond, glad to hear that but please make sure you aren't too dependant on her as it can wear her down too and if she's worn down then she can't look after you properly and that probably sounds harsh but it's no good if you are both sick. Amy's important to you and she needs you too and bills are a pain but they need to be paid, even though you may starve for the next couple of weeks, can you get Government help over there? My Aunty had to give up full time work to look after my Uncle and she got an allowance for it, it's tough on both sides of the coin really but remember that there are people who love you. Just look after yourselves ok and am giving a another rib-crushing hug for the two of you  and if any of you need to talk, I'm more then willing to listen  that's what family is for  and it does worry me that you think of death, just imagine how hurt and betrayed Amy would be if you did that, you have a good life and a good wife and little Amronds to think about.

Yep, just finished up some coding on my site (since last week there's probably been 50 new settings and features (tid bits of things) I've added to my sites). Insomnia gets the best of me, even these days. Well, that's how the scientists in the Apollo program of NASA were back in the 60's when they were trying to think of a way to actually land man on the moon.
One scientists said to another in the 1960's: "Hey what the heck is that design?" (He was referring to a thing this other scientist came up with to get to the moon, which worked)
The other scientist that developed the design said, "this is what I did in place of sleep."

well i did my english laungauge GCSE
I just got up like three minutes ago. The most memorable thing so far is seeing that Majestic has a new avatar and it would appear that it is awesome!
All I remember from having my wisdom teeth removed yesterday is the the nurse putting the IV in, the dentist walking into the room, the world turning green, and then waking up.
The first most memorable thing today was going on a trip with Amy, and getting lost. That was fun.
The second most memorable thing today was realizing that my site serves no purpose and shall be sent to cybernetic oblivion. Too much effort for such little contribution to the community as my site produces - aka, a lost cause. Also, too much stuff in real life that requires attention, some other reasons too but I won't get into that. * Imagines folks celebrating over this great victory, with me joining in to party like it's 1999!!! *
The third most memorable thing about today was that I am not depressed about anything, even while preparing my site for closing. Mission Accomplished. That's what I say.
What a sunshiny day it is! I think Amy and I will be going for a nice long walk! :D

Hahaha I'm not that game!! :lol2: I got it coloured a dark reddish colour with blonde streaks through it, and cos I'm growing it for a wedding, the hairdresser didn't want to cut it, but she cut my fringe a bit. It looked good yesterday, but I can't do it the same as she does, so the next time it'll look good will be when I go back to her!! Hahaha
Another memorable thing that happened yesterday was my mum's birthday dinner... we all had a good time and lots of laughs!! :D
Nothing going good lately. Some of it's been more personal than I'd like to disclose at least right now. Ugh. But one good thing is I got a new PC today and soon will use it for world domination...er...I mean to get online and improve my server, should I keep it up.
Put myself and my site on trial today. It's one of the most ignored places in the universe, so to get rid of it and settle things with the members would be most good. Then after that I can be done with it and scrub my site off the grid once and for all like should have happened before I ever thought about making a site. So, the fact that it's coming to an end is kinda exciting and memorable. It shall end as all good things (and bad things) do.
Besides that, Amy's situation continues to worsen with her grandfather feeling worse again. I may not see her for another couple of weeks. It's good I got to see her when I did the last few days. Things seem to be darkening more and more, even when it's at its darkest it just gets darker. Good thing about these times is that I've learned to care less about what happens to me. "To heck with me" - that's my motto. Oh well, just as anything, time shall decide what happens, even if it happens for the worst the good thing is at least I won't care (as long as it's something bad that happens to me and not someone else). I personally wouldn't care if I went to heck when I died, as long as everyone I love goes to a good place I'll be fine with just that. There are different levels of survival and any one of them I am willing to accept.
Today I was told that I could possibly have a wheat allergy, which has been the cause of my illness and pain for the past year or so! This isn't a good thing because I love wheat based products like bread, however, the dietician says that I probably won't have to go fully off of wheat because it seems to be a mild case, but will probably have to have a diet low in wheat. :x Oh well, better than getting my appendix out unnecessarily! :D
^True.
Visited girlfriend last night. Fell asleep with her in my arms....purrrrrr.... And then later, I SMS her goodnight . . . and she says that she was just telling her mom how safe she feels in my arms. :) Meesa so happy . . .
I found out my homework for my maths course today and I am actually doing it AND found more stuff on the net which is helping me to understand what we are doing! I don't know if this is just a first-week-of-the-semester conscientiousness or if it will stick throughout the semester, but either way, I can't believe it! Hahaha
^ Nice! Good luck keeping it up . . .
Finding out that I can go see my sister off at the airport on Tuesday. (She's going to live with Aunt in America and do high school/study there . . .)
I found out I'm going to be a great-uncle. :D And I'm only 17.
Im uncle since 7 years !! LOL!

For 9 hours Elrond (Josh) andd I were out doing lots of ffun stuff like walking in the park in reallly hot weather and we took a nice trip on the waterr on a boat. Then we had went tto eat and Josh being the growing man hhe is (he looks like 18 or younger sttill if you ask me) he ate more than half the enttire pizza and I could only finish llike two pieces of pizza. Then we paid the internett bill since it was late. Now we don't have to get shut off, tht's good I think.. I watched Josh do the first moding he's probably done for that game Armadda I think he's done for ages. We then went out for dessert andd again Josh ate enough to make me wondder if he had a second stomach somewhere. Thing is he's safe cause he doesn'tt or hasn't gained an ounce for like all the four years I've known him. I think the waitress was (again) trrying to flirt with him. I dunno. But I'm not woried or anything.
Got an interesting phone call today from one of Josh's ex's and I answered the phone. Um...that was.....well...strange. I just told her that I'm with him now and she like hung up so that was basically what I expected to happen :lol2: . Funny stuff. But Josh and I try to remain on the good side of people even if they are from our past. Best nnot to initiate a confrontationn I think.
Then we got online to look at Josh's site and he basically said, "ah, pretty much what I expected." I think he was referring to activity being down but I don'tt see a problem there. Having quickly gotten over that, fortunatelyy, we did some stuff thatt I can't get into and then we're here gettingg ready for bed late at night.
Ah, another thing, we listened to a bunnch of 80's love songs as we both love it and we grew up with that music so it was awesome!!!
All in a day's work!!!! Can't wait to see what todays gonna be like! Even sometthing mundane as grocery shopping is great as llong as you are with someone you love more than anything. Waiting in line is even exciting as long as it's with Josh. I know he feels the same way which is even a better feeling. I'm hooked. Is Love an Addiction? That's what I'd call my song if I wrote a song. 8-)
Aye, indeed, what a day that was! But today, rest time. What a wild weekend!

Finding out some really terrible news that has me quite upset and worried.
Such things get one down especially when one finds it out. If you already have a certain feeling or intuition that something's up, you can prepare yourself (bracing for impact, if you want).
Yeah, I managed to manage my life a little more.
Oh and... six week holidays aren't any six weeks any more. *Just don't think abou it*
Finding out some really terrible news that has me quite upset and worried.
Like EAS said, brace for impact. I hope it works out alright. Don't give up hope (like I do sometimes).
Yesterday, the 2nd of August, Amy and I stayed up all night long and in the morning, we drove out to the park and no one was there so that was pretty romantic. This may seem kinda lame to some LoL but Amy and I like 80's love songs. She has to leave again to be with her family and will be back in a week or so, but I find that that one or two weeks ends up feeling like an eternity. If falling in total love for one another means lots of trouble, then we're both in a lot of trouble. But it feels good to be loved and be in loved so much that it doesn't feel wrong at all. Between ups and downs, I'd say that since i been going with her that things are definitely better than they were back at the beginning of the 21st century before I knew her. So that's good everything's overall better now than then. I used to think the future would be way worse, but with some hard work, the future can be made nice.
Today I just tought myself the process of what I need to do to make my organization into a DNS hosting service as well. It will require some money, but thankfully, through some sacrifice in the stocks my grandparents saved up, it will be possible to do. It's a risk, but not a particularly big one. Life is one big risk and that's kinda thrilling. I'm glad that things have been so exciting lately. I usually am not one to get that excited about much but I am now with all that is going on.
I found that my dad hasn't gone to see the doctor lately and get his latest results on blood sugar, blood pressure, etc. So that means we don't know what's going on. That's pretty bad. Cholesterol (bad kind) was 340. That's really really not good. But if he keeps on medication right, it should be alright. My mom's still trying to get off of smoking but it's like pulling teeth.
My grandfather has been having trouble eating. He used to eat like a horse and for a few weeks has eaten very little each day (maybe the equivalent of one meal a day wtf). He has divroticulitis and that is an intestinal malfunction that causes things like bad appetite.
My grandmother (on my dad's side) is going through feeling weak because of having kidney dialysis. The last few years have been difficult as far as family health problems. Ugh. It's a bummer.
But with the good and the bad, we won't give up. Sometimes we feel like it, but we don't give up. Something keeps us going. Believing and faith are sometimes the only things we have.
This is my first chance at a computer for sometime so this event is a tad out of date. Actually since some international news networks picked it up a few of you may have heard about it.
About 8 a.m. August 2nd we recieved a phone call from my brother that a house three blocks from where I live exploded. The explosion, caused by natural gas, was heard 30 miles away, debris has been found as far way as 5 miles, and many of the houses within the immediate area either caught fire or were shifted off their foundations.
The tragic part of this is that three people died in or as a result of the explsion. My brother's aunt, Sherry (55), her grandson, Mikey (8), and her son, Coady (15), who was burned over 90% of his body died in surgury later the next day.
Coady sat one chair down from me in band all of last school year.
Oh my lord, that's awful! It's always sad when something like that happens, especially when you know the people or know someone who knows them.
My deepest sympathies with you and your family at this time.
To add to that only a few days before they found my brother's uncle, brother of Sherry, dead on the floor of his house. Though his death wasn't as unexpected, seeing as he was diabetic, an alcoholic, and had been haveing heart problems.
Anyways, the worst part is that one freak accident wiped out three generations. There is no reason a family should have to bury three generations, no reason at all.
Well, on to happier things. I've just arrived home.
But the most memorable thing that happened was seeing the tire of a semi blow. There's nothing like cruising along at 60 mph and seeing a giant strip of rubber flying at you. I think my eye's actually looked like this: .
Hmm, the most interesting thing to happen to me today.
Well it wasn't exactly today, it was yesterday.
But waking up with a bad sunburn covering most of my torso and neck takes the cake for me. I visited a water park with my Boy Scout Troop.
My condlences to your familiy Harrie.
I went shopping with my uni friends while I was meant to be studying  but I had a good time and that's the main thing!
Also spoke to a friend I haven't spoken to in ages and it was nice catching up with her.
Said goodbye to a friend.
Seriously thought about cussing out a newswoman and her camera man.
Seriously thought about cussing out a newswoman and her camera man.
You probably should have, they can be so rude. But then again, if you had, you probably would have ended up on the news with them saying something like "This man couldn't control his grief", so it's probably good that you didn't.
Nothing really memorable has happened to me today, except that I saw a guy who I used to go to school with on the TV... that was pretty funny!
Oh trust me if i had they aired it they would have had to cut and paste the clip together, I'd a laid them a street of profanity 5 miles long.
Had to come in to work at 5:45 this morning to finish a job my boss took in, with too short a time frame, and then handed to me and said "You do it." I REALLY need to have a chat with him about this sor of thing . . . it's happening WAY too often . . . :x
Finally someone posted. I didn't want to double up.
This happened yesterday. I was looking at a picture of my Great-aunt's house and realized the house number was 1701.
Today I ate a bag and a half of Werther's Originals. That's some where around 60 of the little buggers. A serving is 3.
 Don't tell my mom.
My dad and I were talking about the explosion that claimed the lives of the three listed in my sig, and he told me that one of the engineers from the power company said that if it had been cloudy and overcast the blast, rather than expanding just up would have hit the clouds and come right back down. Had it done that would have destroyed everything within two blocks.
As much as I will miss Coady, this is one of those few for the many moments. It also makes me glad we live four blocks away.
Well, I sorta kinda quit the RPG on my site today...and...that's about it.
Someone said something inconsiderate and cruel to me today and it has me upset. I even left uni early because I didn't want to be there with this upsetting thought lingering in my head.

I have to go to school again. Six weeks of vacation ended today - the 21st of August.
And I have the teacher that hates me most in my chosen English course, while there is a parallel english course. I am BTW the only student from my class in that course, the others that did choose English are in the other one
- this can't be a contradiction.
Captain's Log Stardate 60053.9...
Right now, haven't seen Amy for about a week. She'll officially be moving back in at the end of the year when she finishes the courses she's taking as a full-time student. Life around here is dismal right now, but I'm planning on taking some courses as well, it's just that I've been lazy as heck with the ever-present depression that I always feel. I'm tired of people thinking the worst of me which has happened a lot lately. It's as if I'm a human in a Ferengi suit of some kind wtf.
Cannot yet hold down a job yet until the meds start to work on this depression thing once and for all, but as slow as it seems to be progressing, I don't imagine this all will happen anytime in the near future. I've been in constant contact with my doctors, etc, and have been trying to find out what has been the thorn in my paw, such as it is. Some days I can get up out of bed at 7 in the morning, other days it's not until 3 in the afternoon, and there are some days that I don't even feel like ever getting up out of bed. I feel like folks want me out of the way once and for all, as if I am the thorn in the paw. I have not even the trust of my family save for my dad and maybe a few others who are, at the most, disappointed in the fact that I am how I am. One would think the family would have learned from the mistakes they made back seven years ago when the single largest duel over a single individual ever took place. Eversince that time I had wanted to die for that, as I was the scapegoat for their mistakes and sins. To see that things have not changed even since the Salen witch trials is a terrible sight to behold. I am a normal looking person (meaning I don't look like Grima Wormtongue), I've not done that much harm to anyone, in fact no harm. The only thing is that I have a lot of bad luck and a few out there who want me dead it seems. I can say that they won't win if that's what they want.
Even with the above, I will not fail, I will not falter, for it is those who have so wronged me who will be forgiven, unconditionally, and at that time they will reconsider their future actions and not dwell on the past. Mercy is conditional forgiveness, grace is unconditional and infinite forgiveness, for which I am willing to give. It's not any person I hate, I hate no one, it's the actions I might hate.

It's the first friday of the new school year!
Controlling a homework of one pupil took the French teacher ONE FULL LESSON. And this homework was a text of about 12 lines on standard DIN A4 paper (DIN is by the way: Deutsche Industrienorm! The normal sheets of paper you all write on are based on German standard paper. Ain't that useless to know?)
Oh and:
On my way back from school (having the worst headache of this month) someone tried to get money from me by using a knive (as deterrence). He was about 12 year old or so. He was just about 1.60 meters tall or so (for comparison: I am about 1.92 meters).
However, then he said with a really high tune of voice: "Hey, give me some money or I do something to you!"
I couldn't hold it and began to laugh. Maybe it was wrong to laugh, maybe not. He felt a little embarassed or so. He looked quite angrily at me while having that small knive. I just said he shall go home and play with his matchbox-cars. He went off then...
Ain't it a bad sign that a 12 year old thought he'd be the "bad gangsta" and get some money from a 17 year old wearing military jacket and having bad headache?
Today in Advanced Musicanship (band for anyone who meet at the same time as the rest of the band) Mr Gardner, the band director, told me that the upper class trumpets would be playing the horse call for tonights football game and that he had all ready put in the announcements that it would be the 'Junior and Senior trumpets playing the horse call.'
Well, I give him this funny look thinking 'what Juniors' because there are none, we have three upper classman trumpets and they are all Seniors. Then he looks at me and goes, "Mark, you are a Junior... Right?" This from the man that I've had almost every day of school for the last SEVEN YEARS. This ranks right up there with my mom forgetting my birthday.
Intrepid, how long is one lesson? Here one class period is 90 minutes.

45 minutes is one lesson. Mondays and Wednesdays I have 8 of them.
Ah, we use a system called Block 8, we have a day 1 and a day 2 each day consists of two classes, 40 minutes for lunch, and two more classes, all roughly 90 minutes. It'd be hard for us to go back to every class every day.
EAS_Intrepid

I have a more complicated timetable.
We have 45 minutes lessons, sometimes one subject has two 45ers in a row, but most of the time there is one 45 minute lesson with one subject, then another one. Like this (fictional timetable)
Monday:
1. P.E. (Happened to me last schoolyear, PE on monday morning was cruel)
2. P.E.
3. Geography
4. History
5. German
6. English
7. PK (Profilkurse = Advanced Subject. I have there Political Sciences)
8. PK (same as above)
Minor breaks between the 1st and 2nd, the 3rd and fourt, and the 7th and 8th lesson, major ones between 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th, 5th and 6th.
In the end 7 teachers (6 actually, my Political Sciences teacher is a socialist) try to change your mind towards learning methods, discipline, public opinions etc.
In the end, Harrie, you are right with your sentence "a school called prison".
I think I get it. You know, when i said that I thought we had a hard time of it, because even with a day between classes, it's hard to find time to do homework, especially this year if your taking the advanced bio or chem classes, which are everyday. For example, I have AP (advanced placement) Bio every day this semester then AP Chem everyday next.
This reminds me of something that happened yesterday. The AP Bio teacher was showing the class a picture of a Water Strider, which literally walk on water, to demonstrate water's property of surface tension and, jokingly, he says, "I did that once when I was younger. I had long hair and a beard back then though" and one of the girls goes, "You were a hippy!"

I am finally settled in at the University of Michigan, got to go to the first American Football game of the season, we set an attendance record for a stadium with 109,668 people.
To top it off we won 27-7 against Vanderbilt.
Replacing the springs on our garage door. It wasn't fun, especially when one of the original steel cords we wanted to use snapped under the tension of the new spring. We got lucky, it only slashed through the side of one of our spare trash barrels.

I just got a job writing editorials for the Michigan Daily, our University's newspaper, and it has a large volume of copies it prints a day, its rather exciting.
I came to the conclusion while working on my AP biology that the old saying "Life sucks then you die" is wrong. It should be "life sucks or you die" because all life is based on adapting.
I found out that I have to have a laproscopy in two weeks...my first operation... :help: :(
I went on a 5 mile 'nature hike' with the men of the local Marine recruitment office. I feel like I've been beaten 8 ways from sunday, but I'm happier than hell.
There is no good way to say this so I'll just say it: I got asked out. I was stunned to say the least, but at least I didn't stand there and gape at her like my nephew did once (not at her but at another girl that asked him out). So we have plans to do bowling sometime this weekend. Its something anyone can do. Even if I might end up teaching her.
:excited: I'm excited mostly because I had been thinking about it for a while but decided she wouldn't be interested. Silly me. Though I suppose that old and grossly overused cliche, don't count your chickens until they hatch, applies here.
Anyone know if they sell goofy grin eraser. :D
Congratulations, Harrie!! :D
Just today I hosted a new domain for a new local medical supplies company website. Given that they asked for a ton of space for files, that gives me a lot more money to work with so I'm happy about that there as I'll be able to help Amy and my family out a little, and feel better about myself. Just getting the bills paid lately has been like holding the fort at Helm's Deep against 10,000 enemy units. Aye folks, it's been downright impossible to do it, until now. Everyone has their peeks and troughs, fortunately I'm finally getting out of this two and a half year trough I've been in, and coming out of it better than when i went in. I now am closer to God and my ideas of religion and so it feels better to have something to believe in.
What I'd like to do eventually is exploring the world and probably at the same time put up a site for all the hundreds of thousands of pictures I'll end up taking. I just won't post pics of myself on there lol. But it should be interesting once that happens.
Amy's now working as a campus health clinic secretary while taking courses at the university for nursing. We haven't gotten to see each other too much lately, but after the semester is over she'll be back and we'll both be going to take courses next semester. So, college -> marriage -> more college -> rooming together at college. Sounds pretty interesting. Aye these are strange times indeed! But I like it a lot, put some excitement into life!
Congrats to both Harrie and Elrond! It sounds like you both had great days!!
I got a cold today but I had a group meeting for a presentation that we have to do tomorrow and I felt a whole lot better after it! It calmed my nerves so much!
Thanks Jess, Elrond.
It's good to see you in a good mood Elrond, always is better. Congrats on the hosting job. :)
Thanks. We now host forums, portals, eCommerce, Customer Support, blogs, and so forth :D. TeamSpeak reseller service coming soon. Domain support will come much later and requires a bunch of legal contracts.
Anyway, the most memorable thing today is that we here have 100 members! Finally, three digits! LoL. Now we look forward to 4 digits. :D That will come.
For those here who haven't heard of 3dsmax and Star Trek Armada, it will be hard to see what the following is about.
I've been learning 3dsmax program for working on new ship models that come to mind. It's been tough but I think I'm figuring some of it out, as complicated as it seems. Animated models = ultimate ownage for making things like rotating parts on stations and animated clouds on planets, etc. I'm working on a new USS Enterprise NCC-1701-F. I want to see what's possible from all this, so I figured that's a really good place to start from. I love the Enterprise that the Future Tense team is working on since it has an evolution of the original Sovereign class starship. I'm thinking on expanding on the idea and making something new.
One of the classes I'll soon be taking just for extra credits in the university graduate program will be 3d graphics. They'll be introducing things like Maya 3D which is another type of software like 3dsmax that supports exporting models for Command and Conquer, Battle for Middle Earth, and exports to 3dsmax that can thus be exported to Star Trek Armada format. It shall prove most...useful. It'll also give me a chance to fill up some of the empty space on the server for the image gallery and files.
I'll be releasing a shield pack for Armada, including separate textures for different sci-fi universes. I'll be releasing the pack here, on my site, AFC and a2files. Four different places will have it so the community may benefit from it. I figured I owed the community something extra for putting up with my last year of endless ranting and raving LoL.
A great project ends, another begins.

This last week I have been checking into the chance of going back to school. It is something dealing with the music industry and would allow me to use my creativity. It would allow me to graduate in 1 year. Now I just have to come up with the money. I find out Monday afternoon if I can get financial aid for the $10,250 the school cost. I have had some bad happen in my life recently but it has led me to where I am. Things are looking up and I am enjoying life.
I hope everything works out for you CrazyFrog! :D
Thanks Elrond, Blindeye, HK and Intrepid for your kind thoughts!! :D Things are going good, I'm almost back to normal (well as normal as I am: No elaborations please Maj!!!) and not in much pain now, which is good. Having some doubts as to whether or not the problem was found as my other pain has returned, so I guess I will have to wait and see what the specialist says.
Today I was able to get around as normal, and it was a public holiday, so it was nice having everyone at home! :D

Well, I went and took a test up there to prove to them I could do the work. I took a 2 part test. A total possible points of 1000. A passing grade was 410 overall. I scored a 750. It was a timed test. If I had another 10 minutes I could have gotten another 200 points. LOL. They even told me that they had not seen anyone score that high on the verbal/english part of the test before. Atleast from that school. That and on the math part I scored 150% of what was needed. Only reason I did not score higher on it was I ran out of time. I got all the math correct that I had time to finish. I am not meaning to brag but I am just excited. :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited:
My schooling now starts on Monday. I am already expected to be a star student. The expectations are high. Just as I like them. :) :) :excited: :excited:

Well, I went and took a test up there to prove to them I could do the work. I took a 2 part test. A total possible points of 1000. A passing grade was 410 overall. I scored a 750. It was a timed test. If I had another 10 minutes I could have gotten another 200 points. LOL. I've gotten to see Elrond again finally after two weeks. Graduate courses suck the life outa everything. But once in a while I get a time like this where I can see someone familiar.
Sry for not posting in like so long
There is nothing wrong with being too busy to post (actually it may be a good thing, that way you got end up saying things like "I love my computer because all my friends live in it.").
Three things:
Went to church had loads of fun (even got to help out a bit).
Found out some time next year a movie about the battle of Thermopylae will be coming out (unfortunately I realized that no movie depicting true Greek style warfare will even be made, not exciting enough).
Decided to help my nephew and brother in law strip the shingles off our shed... I found out that my problems with angles goes beyond just geometry class

That is fantastic! I'm so glad that you went and had a good time :D I think it was fear of the unknown before, and I'm so proud that you confronted it!
Today I got home from a weekend away to my uncle's wedding (which was a fantastic time)! I'm glad to be home, but also a bit upset at the same time, as I don't get to see my relatives as much as I would like and I had such a great time with them! :D

Most memerable thing today was....killing a nomad battle ship on a game Freelancer....it took 5mins to kill it :p.
Most memorable point in today's history for me? Hmmm...it would probably be when Amy called me at 3 AM from college to ask me how I was doing. Apparently none of us are doing too great, cause we both got a stomach flu, except I've had it now for about 4 days. :/
Well mine for yesterday was that I quit my job! YAY!! So Thursday will be my last day! I'm excited!
You quit your job and thats is cool!?
I really don't know...

I take it that the job sucked, and since the job sucked, I'm glad to hear that you're not doing it anymore. w00t! :D
Well if don't need money, but in my case a job won't be so wrong anyway school is boring and I'm on my week "free"!!!! I only will have class on the Friday youppi Thanks to that tournament!

Speakin of school, I stayed up all last night doing various things, I had a friend of mine come over and we LAN'ed a bit. So I drive him to school (my classes don't start for another hour and a half) and decide that I am going to take a nap, I've got three things I can use as an alarm in my car, my iPod, my watch, and my cell phone. I set them all and doze off. I wake up to another friend opening my car door (he has spare keys) and asking if I slept food or not. I was asleap for almost 4 hours and missed both of my classes. I think this is the height of my not so intelligent decisions.
That is bad luck, man get a somekind of electric device to give you some charges to wake up
Yuo quit form job and thats is cool!?
I realy don't know...
Yeah, to use Elrond's words, the job sucked. They kinda ripped me off sometimes, and I found that my uni marks were going down a bit, so I'm going to focus on my uni work for the next two weeks until it ends, then I will be getting a more permanent job for my 3 month break off of uni so I can earn some money and survive the next year at uni!
My most memorable thing that happened yesterday is that I didn't go to uni because I was sick, and I didn't go to the lecture this morning because I am still sick! So that sucks!
The most memorable think that hapenned ot me today was that I'm was trying to upgrade my Pc, so I was to buy a Video Card a Fx5500 /Ge-Force I think) but when I were to buy it runned out of stock, now let's see when the seller get more...

Blonde? tell what color!! 8-)

LoL!!
Well my hair is naturally dark brown, so I put blonde streaks in it first, which I didn't like. Then I got a really dark brown to put on over the streaks and I didn't like that either (it was too dark) so I did the streaks again! Now the top layer of hair is blonde with some blonde streaks underneath and that. I think I like it now! Well I better, because I better not put any more dye in it or it will break off!!
The other day I bought the first and second seasons of the OC so last night I watched the first episode of the second season and this morning I watched the second ep of the second season! I have to catch up because Santie Claus is going to bring me the third season for Christmas and I need to watch it all before the fourth season comes back onto TV which is really soon!

Well, Jess, talk about fast decison making :) !
Why do brunettes dye their hair blonde (even if only "partially"?)
Fashion seems to be a science men (and thus I) will never understand.
In two weeks I will represent Qatar in the security council (which means I am one of the two bests of the best students my school sends) in a diplomatic roleplay. 1500 pupils from all over the world try to make up in three days what the UN can't do in three month.
Last night was the last time I will ever have to march in my High school career.
Today has so far been rather boring and I've felt rather depressed even though it's bright and sunny. There was talk of one of my friends holding a Halloween party tonight, they told my they'd call and so far they haven't.

Well adding blonde highlights to brunette hair makes it look softer and the colour not so harsh. Dyeing hair also adds shine and luster that undyed hair sometimes doesn't have.
I'm never going to go full on blonde blonde, because I know for a fact that it won't suit me!
I don't generally dye my hair for fashion, I usually do it so that it suits me.
Today is my first unofficial day of holidays. Technically this week is my last week of uni, but my Monday classes have been cancelled so I don't have to go today! Now I have to study for my maths test......:x

You can stay where you are, in Europe it's the same...
...............or military historian to be is not the exact vision of a boyfriend, I never get a girl.
Boys, boys, boys....I believe the problem here is that both of you think that you won't get girls, and that is subconsciously the message you are putting out. Or you wonder why a girl would ever like you. That's just stupid!! Both of you are wonderful people who deserve to be loved, but by the right person. And believe me, they will come along when you least expect it!!
Phoe, you will meet a girl who does not want to be cheated on and treated badly, and THAT is why she will like you. Not all girls are idiots who stay with bad boyfriends! But some people need to have a bad experience to understand what a good relationship is all about.
EAS, you are going to meet a girl who is as interested in military history as you are. And you will deserve her and she will deserve you and you will live happily ever after!
Well today I was meant to drive a friend of mine to uni with me. I sent three SMS's to her to tell her when I would pick her up, but got no reply. Then I went over to her house when I was due to pick her up and stood at her door like a turkey ringing the doorbell for 5 minutes. No one was home. So I thought to myself 'stuff her, I'll drive myself and she can find her own way there'. When I get to uni, she sends me an SMS back saying that she was sorry, and she was doing some work experience at a school and had forgotten to tell me about it. Man I was mad! I still am! I don't want to see her tomorrow because I might say something that I might regret in the future! I mean, she KNEW in advance and just didn't bother telling me, even though we had planned to do something! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Its happens all around the world, including Australia. I am still single after 3 or so years. My approach is bugger it, I will let them come to me. I am tired of making attempts, I still do but rarely. I am not saying you guys should do that, thats just me.
But yeah women, well a good amount of them make no sense, they don't know what they want and seem to like idiots and fellas that abuse them.
I say let them go, if they are that stupid I wouldn't want to date one. I will wait till I find one with brains and values.

I have had an interesting couple days. I missed some college over the last couple weeks due to illness and car problems. I was told I could catch it all up within the next week. I stayed up all Sat. and Sun. nights working on everything. I drive over an hour to school 4 days a week. Well, the timing belt broke on my car on the way to college on Monday. So, flush that day down the tub. Then I spent today trying to find out what can be done to save the train wreck that has occured. I still have hope. Even if I have to file for a leave of absence from school for a week to fix my car. But it will all work out somehow. I will make it do so. :D
And to the others here who talked about not finding anyone to be with. You will find someone. One day you will find someone who completes you and makes you feel like everything is going your way. I once thought I had found that person but the jealousy of others can turn life long friends into backstabbers. The mistake I made was allowing what they had planned to get in the way. But I still have faith. I know things that others don't. Granted I ended up sacrificing alot of friendships at the time but any friendship I lost in it showed me thier true colors. What I mean by that is many friends I thought I had turned against me and sold me out. They tried to make it look like I had done everything wrong and they were pure and innocent. I know I am not perfect. I am far from it. But I can stand on the statement that I did nothing illegal. I do have some regrets from it all. One or two really good friends got hurt in the process that I never wanted to see get hurt. I have salvaged what frienships I could and I have moved on. I do not look back anymore but I live everyday with the knowledge that many of those former friends still spread lies about me and try to say I did what they knew they had done but I know if I ever got pulled back there b/c of the lies that I would be forced to open my mouth on what truths I know about all the former friends of mine and I would be free of problems from them then. But I will take the high road as long as possible. The things people go through in the name of love. Keep faith. You will find someone. I am sure yours will go without the drama too.

Physics - that's where it is! :D
I just discovered that I might finally be moving out of the area and pursuing a better position in the company. The only thing is, will I be able to leave my friends here behind, as well as my family? I'll be moving about 200 miles away from here - if I do move. Nothing's final. I guess that's the good thing.
Got caught driving in a major thunderstorm and couldn't see where I was driving! Talk about scary! I couldn't even find a place to pull over!
Heh, heh, heh . . . got one better. On our "Visit the Family" trip earlier this year, we went to see a cousin on the family farm in Africa. On the way . . . you guessed it! Thunder Storm!!! But, one better, HAIL STONES!! The size of a fairly accurate golf ball. Now, imagine the combination of thunder and hail . . . can't see, road as slippery as anything, and the light from your headlights getting reflected back in your eyes. On a dirt road. Now that was exciting . . . for me. Scary for mom . . . :D

I got a new car to take car of the car problems. I have been working like crazy to do the best I can in the course. I scored a 112% on a lecture quiz. I also scored a 91% and a 90% on my week 2 radio broadcast and newscast. I am told those are very high marks for anything week 2. Many great things are happening in my life. Sounds cool lookin, you should post pictures when you are done painting it.
I remember a kid here in town doing that and was fined quite a hefty amount and ordered to have the work undone because he had painted the windows too. It was cool while it lasted. Moral of the story: moderation maybe the best policy but stupidity is so much more fun. But you already knew that I'll bet.

As far as the painting of windows.......I spent the day after thanksgiving covering ever window, light and reflector on that car. I even remembered the side mirrors....it set over night and morning came and I started. The reason its taking another day is the paint I was using the store ran out of and no other store here in town has. So, I found a piant made by the same company that is even better but cheaper at Wal-mart. So, atleast now I know I won't run out of paint. LOL. I just have to make sure it is finished Sunday. Give it time to completely dry before I use the car for school on Monday.
Today I enjoyed the pleasure of learning that Amy may be moving with her grandparents to help them with their moving to Indiana state (approximately 400 miles away or somethin like that) and will be leaving sometime after Christmas. Also, until she can get a job in this area, we will be parted from each other, this may be a matter of a couple or a few months here.
I also lay dismayed at how rejected my site is. I guess I've really found that I'm not a leader, just a geek (as opposed to a nerd who actually gets stuff done - never be offended if you're called a nerd because that's a good thing).
Really fun stuff. Well, at least I have something to do like posting here. Kinda takes the edge off of things to be able to get this stuff off my chest. I barely care anymore what happens as it doesn't really matter. Yep fun stuff, but hey, at least I have about a month to spend with Amy before the big two or three month exodus from actually having a life (life without Amy is no life whatsoever, because there's really nothing to me besides that). I'm just a body, with no soul or content. Emptiness awaits me, at least for a time.
I shall be at war with myself yet again, deciding whether or not I should survive another day or simply fade away. My resolve has never been tested to this extent, and I've found I'm weak. I get to take anxiety medicine too because in every crowd I'm in I always feel like everyone's looking at me as if I'm freaking Hitler eventhough I've really done nothing bad. Well, I've really done nothing at all. I take up space and as big of a liability as there ever was. At least that's how I feel right now.
But there's always hope and if I give myself some time and get through these couple of months, it won't be so bad when I get to congratulate myself for getting through it all. 2007 shall begin ****py but might end up being better than this year, there's always that hope.
^. Hmm. Got three letters for ya. RPG. And you could always help me smoke Eragon . . . :)
Asked someone out, but she's already with someone. Got asked for coffee with someone else, and accepted, but . . . I'm not certain. Give it a go, though.

Oh where to start. I have not seen this much happen with a car in the movies. Makes me want to laugh it is so strange. Sunday-Tues I got pulled over twice. Once for a brake light being out. Second time was b/c the officer could not read my paper tag in the window. Both times I got off with a verbal warning. Wednesday it was 75 degrees. Weds night it starting pouring rain. Thursday, the sleet and snow came. I went somewhere in my car. I parked it for 25 minutes. If that. Went outside and the locks were frozen. Spent an hour trying to get into the car. Got into the car and found I had chipped the key. So it would not turn the ignition over. Left the car there overnight. Came back in the afternoon on Friday with a new set of keys. BUT the car still would not start. Took the battery out and had it tested. It was good. So, left the car there till I could tow it. Saturday morning comes and it is still below freezing. Go and replace the connections on the battery and the car starts. I get the car home. (but wait theres more) I get a call from a friend who needs a ride somewhere. So, I take my car. I then realize the heater nolong works. Shortly after that the car begins to over heat. I have no choice but to try to make it home. in another block or two the oil light comes on and the car dies right then. At a busy intersection. I check the coolant in the car. It has none. It was full a day earlier. So, I fill the coolant back up. The car starts back up. I make it home but the engine began to over heat again and the oil light flashed on once or twice. So, it probably needs to be serviced. And the cherry on top. When I got home I realized that the driver side headlight was out. :cry2: :cry2: And that is where it sits early Sunday morning. I must fix all this to make it to school Monday afternoon. Plus get a tag on the car before the 11th of this month. Oh, if I was not laughing so hard at the amazing order of things. Then I would be crying. LOL. There were a few other things that happened. But that is the most interesting I would have to say. LOL

Update. Its a new day. A family member heard of my troubles and knew I needed a way to school. So they handed me the keys to a newer, much more reliable car and said Merry Christmas. :excited: :excited: :excited: :o :o :o :excited: :excited: :excited:
We really need to get the login system on this site fixed, because it keeps logging me out at random times.
I had this nice, long, informative essay of a post ready to put up. I hit submit and it brings up a freaking login screen. I mentally shout a rather nasty expletive at the monitor and kick the stack of blank CD's I keep under my desk.
Well I'm not going to retype it, I'll give a much condensed anger filled version. Thrusday's ice storm knocked out power to over 300,000 homes in the central Missouri-Illinois region, 3,000 homes in my area are still in the dark. I'm sitting here hoping they cancel school tomorrow because of it. Top it all off I have a headache and my sinuses have backup. Good night!
Uh, Harrie, when it does that, hit "Back" and it normally goes back to your message. Then copy it into Word or something, hit submit again. If it goes to log-in, log in, reply and paste your reply from Word. My PC here at work used to do the same thing all the time. :)

Sometimes that works; sometimes you just get a blank field. I've been through that one a million times, lol. Emails, posts, etc, all lost because of a login thing :-/
I did. All I got was another login screen.
Today was my day off from work. I thought I was going to get called back in, and if that was the case, I would be working 11 days straight. Not good! But I got my day off! I am trying to clean my room but I am so tired! My grandparents came up today for lunch, so that was nice, but oh so tiring!

I am still working on my **** French homework (it is now 2202 CET). My task is to summarise the events of a book written for 10th grade or so, but I can't really advance, as I have a real lack of vocabulary or grammar.
My French teacher hates me, I am tired as hell...
Anyone else here forced to learn this language?
:cry2: Hasta la victoria siempre.
btw: Next summer I might be in Lebanon helping to clear airdropped mines and doing humanitarian work. Mainly the latter.

Ouch French... I am going to try to take Latin at my Community College in two months, but don't know if they will have a Latin 101 open or not.
Well I gotta go to the doc's so I can get a Leave of Absense form filled out for my work, I spent the last four days home sick and it is driving me batty. Good luck on the French Intrepid.

Any time my friend :)
Hey Hellkite, what would be the latin for 'stupid principals'? The scholarbowl team, JV and varsity, wanted to get shirts (just normal t's to wear everynow and then around school).
Well, today we found out that the pricipal has deemed one of our words as derogatory and that we have to change the entire thing. Just what was the derogatory term you ask.......
This word might be too much for you........
You have been warned........
I'm shocked that I dare to even type it......
 Nerdbowl.

Thanks Hellkite, that went over rather well with the few people I told about it. However, none of them would back me up in wanting to put it on our shirts. Shucks...
I got two things today. The first is that I went to the store and bought a soda and a butterfingers... my receit says that I should have gotten $998.14 dollars back and that I paid with a thousand dollar bill. Heh... If only...
The second is actually tonight but it'll be a memory to keep. Later tonight my church is putting on a Christmas Concert and I'm to sing in the Youth Chior. It was actually planned for next sunday but turns out the school christmas concert is that day so the church changed it's schedule. Wish us luck!

Good luck Harrie.
Nothing particularly good or bad happened today, but I was wondering, I remember reading a story somewhere, about a black man that was dressed as santa and ended up being run out of the store.
Ever since I mentioned reading it to someone, I've been trying to find it to see if I got the information right.
Problem is I don't remember if it was here or one of the other half dozen forums I go to.
PS: The concert went well enough, I was having trouble as I'm getting over a cold. Now it's time to focus on next weeks band Concert.
My churches children's and Youth Choirs went to sing at the local assissted living facility. Does no one remember hearing what I mentioned in my last post?
PS: sorry for the double post but it was yesterday or was it two days... I don't remember.

Hope it went well Harrie. Get over your cold soon.

I'm not sure I've hear that story. I don't think it was here (but I could be wrong).
The only think memorable for me today was getting my Boss's boss(the supervisor) mad at my boss. Seems she has not been communicating properly. So, I can expect to get in trouble for not "saying the right thing" to avoid getting her arse jumped.:p :silence:

Ohh, That sounds bad Intrepid. I just got home, after driving to work only to find out that I am "inactive" since I was gone for the last week and a half on a Medical Leave of Absense.
Well don't that just byte... Wally-world is bad about employee treatment. Been there, done that. :yuck: :lol2:

Yeah, well it shouldn't surprise you that I am looking for a different job then should it.
This is could be a good thing. Wal-mart is not the "cream of the crop" places to work. Over work and under pay, that's all that they do. And that is a memory to remember. Good luck hunting.

Thanks Syf, though I won't be leaving because of the low pay, I was getting $9.20 an hour and I am still in High School. And the overworking thing wasn't that bad either, for me the killer was that the hours I worked were almost directly opposite the hours I was in school, making for not enough sleep.
I HATE my homework!!!
Good night.
Trekkie, trust me, down in South Africa, it ain't no different.
Boss does things like extend our work day by an hour, and doesn't pay extra, yet at the busiest time of year, though we are HIDEOUSLY understaffed, he goes on vacations, and days off, and . . . . get the hologram? If I did not need the money so badly, I would SOOOOOOO leave.
Problem is, around here, I go looking for work and get "You are not quite what we are looking for.", until someone is kind enough to be honest and say, "You are not black enough." Yep, that's my country, sunny South Africa. Must admit, I reckon it would look a lot better with some judicous assassinations and h-bomb placements . . . but hey, whatever.
See ya guys . . .
This morning I found out my church's Youth Pastor is resigning so he can complete his divinity Masters, he has (I think he siad) about 30 of the 90 hours.
This comes on the same day our Minister of Music and his family had a little, going away reception, because they will be moving to some small town (That sounds bad, it's his wife's hometown) in Oklahoma, to help the Baptist Church there. I broke down tonight at the reception when I stood to give my thanks to him for all the help he gave me in the Youth Choir to make me feel welcome.
Oh... and the school had it's Christmas Concert... I think the Beginner band sounded better than the High School.
I don't like double posting, but I don't feel like waiting.
Today my Youth Pastor and I sat down and spoke about what what Christ means to me. Then today I made the decision I had been resisting for the last few months.
After a bout of tears over the memory of my Grandma, and knowing she would want me to do what I felt was right for me, I made the decision to accept Christ and already I feel better about my life and where it's going than I have in a long time.
Found religion, eh? Got a friend who'd say you was insane. . .
As for me, Well Done lad! Got a new theme song for you, Harrie . . . Spirit in the Sky by Gareth Gates.

Keep up the good work . . .
Thanks, Phoenix. It seems strange that the only person I go to school with that I've told is a declared Atheist, then again when I consider that the other person that happened to be online wouldn't take the time to even try understand what I did. Though I've asked him a few times over the last few weeks to consider coming.
Ya . . . see, I believe, but haven't set foot in church for years. My two best friends, one's an Athiest, the other is very spiritual, but not the church type. We all are different, but true to our nature. Unfortunately.
Way I see it, just as it is written. I got my beliefs, you got yours and our friends have their's. I'll tell you of mine, but won't try to force conversion in others, nor will I stand for them trying it on me. Odd, I know, but my friends know me well enough to understand . . .
Hope it goes well for you. And that others respect your beliefs, even if they don't agree. If the world was such, a lot of troubles would end instantly . . .
:worship:
I know just what you mean. Last sunday the Pastor talked about the how the sun was setting and the night was coming, and that we shouldn't spend too much time on certain things. I think... I know that this was my choice, but if I find someone who is unwilling to listen, I won't waste my time talking.
Though if asked I know what, right now how I'd describe it; I told my Youth Pastor yesterday, it's like sitting in a dark room with one door and just on the otherside of that door is my Mom calling my to supper... and yesterday I decided it was time to eat.
Deep, friend. Deep. Anywho, we gonna get in trouble if we continue this here . . . so, met someone today who has also been through a horrible break-up. 12 years older then me, but hey! So what . . . :D

The most memoriable thing for me was I nearly broadsided a highway patrol cruiser. The u-turn spot he was using was not marked and impossible to see until about 20 feet away from it. And when you are going 70 miles per hour, you have no time to react. The cruiser had no lights or sirens going to let me know he was there. He saw me at the last second and hit his brakes. He came to about a foot of the side of my car. Enough for me to catch a glimps of the look of shock on his face. The state is looking into changing its u-turn proceedures already. I was a firm believer in the need for them to use atleast thier lights to let you know they are there. When they perform a u-turn but now I am even more for it. That was Friday that happened. The last couple days has had lots of peace and quite. Been kinda nice to get.
