Hey folks!

In the recent past I have been provided with some more intel about the Dilgar War, so the Drazi battle lines and how it all started etc.

The current direction of the mod is, that the feds campaign is replaced by the EA campaign, starting with the Dilgar War, ending with the Battle of the Line.
Now I thought, that it would be also possible, to have a closer look on the Dilgar War and leave the Minbari War out and to cancel to focus of this mod on the Earth Alliance and put the League and Dilgar more into the spot light, though the EA wil be quite important (EA campaign would still be there.)

The new concept would be, that one start with the League, then the Narns and then the Earth Alliance.

I would like to see it focus mainly on the Dilgar war with perhaps the last mission or two being the Battle of the Line/Minbari war etc.

But in the long run it's up to you as it's your mod.

What does speak FOR the change?
- a detailed view of the Dilgar War
- the Drazi first time as an own race
- the game environment can be very specific to that timeframe
- three different campaigns that all connect to each other and reflect the view on the war from three sides

AGAINST the change
- my Minbari models I cannot use
- no Londo as narrator for a part of the campaign
- three campaigns where I do not know what to do with the other non-EA ones

Another idea would be to do the fed campaign about the Dilgar War, the Klingon campaign about the Minbari War and shortly after and the Borg campaign as the Earth Civil War, but that project would put MSC on the backburner and would need some time and of course it would need people for scripting, modelling (you are mad if you believe that I do that all alone) weapons making and especially A.I.! Let me restate that: Especially AI.

When I get better at modelling and actually know what I am doing I will be able to help you with the modelling side of things. As for AI's, I myself need someone for Parallels as well, a lot of people have no idea about AI's.

As for your campaigns, with the Dilgar War you could have the EA one, the Dilgar one and the Drazi and/or Narn one. I would personally like to see the Drazi as its own playable race. Or another idea is that in the campaign the Leage/Narn are the one race but in instant action they are seperate races, I am not sure if this is possible but may be an idea worth exploring. I would think all you would need to do is in the races.odf is to not have the Drazi/League/Narn race included, that way they wouldn't appear in the Multiplayer games.

You could still use your Minbari models as a Instant Action/Multiplayer race only like the Romulans etc are in the stock game. That way it wouldn't be a waste, you could also have the Minbari as a addon race added after the original mod is released.

These are some ideas for you to think about as this mod is your baby and you should go with what you really want.

In the war there were three major fleets/races involved.

- The Dilgar Imperium (fighting on two fronts, one for each of the other fleets)
- The Drazi Freehold
- Everyone else/The Liberation Navy (Alacan, Brakiri, Abbai, EA, Markab, Vree, etc)

From what i've read the Narn weren't involved. They were seen (essentially as an NPC) once or twice, but as they were neutral they had closed their borders and the Dilgar were leaving them alone.

Interesting, I don't know much about the Dilgar war, except was was said on screen.

 Perhaps have the Narn like the Minbari if you make the change Intrepid, thus having them as multiplayer races only.

Finally I think I will concentrate on the war. The Narns will be around for a few non-player fractions during the campaign and as playable race in instant action. The Minbari won't be unless there's larger demand for.

I think we begin with the Dilgar Invasion, then see how the Drazi try to withstand the Dilgar War machinery and finally the EA will have its turn to defeat the Dilgar.

Sounds good. So the campaigns, any ideas thus far on them?

Yep, I do have. But I can only really start when I have some support, aka modders/modellers that help me!

The vote stand 4 to 4, so it is my decision what to do. And I say Dilgar War. Besides: the decision was made some time ago and stood since then.

Thread closed.
