This is where I'll be showcasing all of the models I build for the Republic. Everytime a new ship is posted I'll include the tooltip for your enjoyment :D.

When I fully texture a ship (which I'm not looking forward to) I'll be posting here as well so look out for some full ones.

Oh, and as I have said before I'm going by the movies as my main source for canon - so if anyone points out that blah happened in blah novel so blah can't be like so then I'll just quote this paragraph

Now then to start off...

Arc-170 - 994 polies
"Arc-170 - Fighter"
"Built by the relatively new Incom Corporation, the ARC-170 has quickly become the standard fighter in the Republic feat with its almost perfect balance between speed, firepower and survivability."

http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/Arc-170.jpg

Consular Class - 1366 polies
"Consular Class - Destroyer"
"Built by the CEC (Corellian Engineering Corporation) to serve as a diplomatic courier, the outbreak of war resulted in a substantial refit program that essentially moved the Consular class to the role of destroyer"

http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/Consular.jpg

Venator Class - 1660 polies
"Venator Class - Heavy Cruiser"
"Built by KDY to serve as a frontline combatant, the Venator is one of the most well designed vessels in the galaxy - and it is entirely likely that KDY's next series will be equally as impressive"

Thank you kindly everyone

Got another one...

BTL-B - 1022 polies
"BTL-B - Bomber"
"Whilst the ARC-170 is an excellent fighter craft, the need for a dedicated bomber soon became apparent when faced with large CIS capital ships. As a result, Koensayr Manufacturing's BTL-B was born"

Thanks guys :)

I'm going to be away from the computer again at the weekend; but I did manage to get a texture done for the BTL-B. Now, I'm no texture artist - but I see an improvement over my earlier...attempts (for lack of a better word).

(It's darker normally - this is just Max messing about with lighting)

Oh, and due to me being a fool this one is only available for the Republic Grand Fleet. Reason being, I deleted the psd file by accident and now can't change the stripe colour...

Looking good Amateur. As for the colour issue, send it my way and I may be able to adjust it for you. Just let me know what colours you want and I make the layers for you.

Thank you for the offer :), I may take you up on that when I move on the the next two races. That's if I don't design a new one by then though (which I probably will do)

And in about twenty minutes I'm going away for the weekend (visit family) so no updates today or tomorrow. I've got the Acclamator and something else to post when I get back though :D

These look really great, from what I can see in the model quality, you've got some pretty spot-on renditions, while keeping the polys at a reasonable amount. Cool stuff.

Couple more :)

Cr-120 - 1325 polies
"Cr-120 - Patrol Vessel"
"An older Corellian design, newer designs and fleet re-assessments have forced the once proud Cr-120 to be relegated to the role of Patrol Vessel. Ironically, this is her ideal role - the single engine may not provide much speed but the multiple lasets are useful against fighters."

http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/Cr-120.jpg

Cr-90 - 1735 polies
"Cr-90 - Picket Ship"
"With an absurd amount of engines providing substantial thrust, the Cr-90 makes an excellent fast reaction vessel. Designed specifically for this task by CEC (under the project name 'Blockade Runner') the Cr-90 does not lack in offensive weapons, though like all corvettes its power is limitedby its size"

http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/Cr-90.jpg

Enjoy :D

Thank you kindly :)

I'm in a bit of a hurry at the mo', so not much to say. I thought I posted these here but oh well - here they are again.

Fully textured versions of the Acclamator and Arc-170...

http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/th_Arc-1702.jpg (http://s728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/?action=view&current=Arc-1702.jpg)

http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/th_Acclamator.jpg (http://s728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/?action=view&current=Acclamator.jpg)

There are guns on the 170, but they're black so will be more visible in game against a background rather than just pure black...

That would explain it. I should really read the news section more often

Thanks! :)

Some really good models as usual Amateur. And I have to say that Venator at 1660 polies is stunning:o Superb work.

I really like the way the Venator looks. Cannot wait to see her textured and ingame. The Star Wars ships are always favorites of mine and with what is currently publicly available for A2, I find myself restlessly waiting for these to be released.

Yes, it's me - the Phantom Procrastinator :D

Anyways, here's some progress on my latest model. Ironically, I textured her shortly after I built it.

Let's see if anyone can see what this is :)

http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/th_Vic01.jpg (http://s728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/Amateur04/?action=view&current=Vic01.jpg)

Yep, the victory class will be making an appearance as one of the Republic's heavy ships.

Victory - 1878 polies
"Victory Class - Battleship"
"One of the newest vessel's employed by the Republic, the Victory class is KDY's update to the exceptional Venator. Rumour has it that the Chancellor has approved plans for a series of KDY designs to follow; yet as it stands the Victory is the most powerful standard ship in the Republic fleet."

I'm thinking of making an ISD, finishing up the Venator and then releasing a pack here. What does everyone think of that?

This is an excellent model and you have an excellent idea. I'd like to have a good quality VSD available. I see this is some of your usual outstanding work. The Star Wars ships which are available are not bad, but the ones from SWFC are pretty dated. There are a great many mesh and texture errors on them. Nothing glaringly eye catching, just a lot of little things which add up quickly. I say "Go for it!" Looking forward to this.

Amateur, awesome looking Victory. I never really liked the Victory and not due to the design but the size of her when compared to the ISD.

You've done an amazing job on here and the textures are great. Very well done.
