A 'Battlestar Galactica' panel discussion at the United Nations | The Watcher (http://featuresblogs.chicagotribune.com/entertainment_tv/2009/03/battlestar-galactica-united-nations.html)

There will be a panel discussion with several United Nations representatives as well as Ronald D. Moore, David Eick, E.J. Olmos and Mary McDonnell. The discussion will be moderated by Whoopi Goldberg.

I sure looking forward to the transcript of that panel :)

On the other hand: Aren't there some more important topics for the UN to tackle? Like... the ongoing genocide in Darfur, Sudan? Or the continuing slaughter and civil war in Somalia, which even affects international shipping?

yeah. there is a lot better stuff for the UN to be doing. but its not like they have any plans on fixing those problems, when they've been sitting around on there butts for years waiting for these things to resolve themselves.

on topic though, i think it will be kind of interesting to hear what they talk about.
