So, I've finally got myself a website, which has the BSG episodes (and the startup episodes) avaliable to watch. Have only watched the first startup episode so far (an hour and a half long sound about right?).

Overall, I was impressed, though ain't so sure how these Cylons have 'evolved' into biological creatures, opposed to their technological counterparts. I guess I'll find this out as I continue to watch?

I must admit though, I did laugh when they got their mission reports on paper, from a printer. They're flying around in ships capable of travelling the galaxy, and they're still reading and writing on... paper?

Some of the technology is very old style, which does add to the athmosphere, in my opinion.

The background in the show is, that they reduced a certain amount of technology to make it impossible (or at least harder) for the Cylons to infiltrate computer systems.

And why not paper? If you stare at a glowing computer screen all the time you become crazy! Some people even get head-aches.

Well, have just watched the second starter episode (a futher one and a half hours worth). Was brilliant, am already into it haha. Was a brilliant cliffhanger at the end, seeing that women (forgot her name) who is actually a Cylon. Didn't expect to see such so early on.

Keep watching, you won't be disappointedSo it seems.

I've some questions anyway:

1) Is Galactica the only actual surviving Battlestar? On games, and mods and stuff, I've often heard of others (namely Columbia). Do any others show up later on?

2) Do we ever get to see any other aliens, or is it simply Humans and Cylons? Being a science fiction show based in space, one could assume other aliens pop up now and then. Am just wondering if they do here? - I don't remember ever hearing of any, so I doubt there are, but I must ask.

The only other battlestar surviving is the Battlestar Pegasus under command of Admiral Helena Cain (Michelle Forbes).

No other aliens. Edward James Olmos said, that if any "three-eyed monsters" appear on screen he is off the show.
"No Aliens" was part of the deal of "EJO" and Mary McDonnell.

BTW: I'd also rather have a piece of paper in my hand than a Trek-like PADD :p

I just finished watching the first half of season four and i'm impressed, for a while I thought it was getting boring (early S1 and mid to late S3) but it really picked up this season and I can't wait to see the last half of the last season. Ash it's great to see you watching the show now, my advice stick with it, even during the dull times as it does really pick up with a massive bang! :D
