Animal hunting with cars.

Thought it might be fun to make a thread where people can talk about when they have gone hunting for animals with there cars. Also, if anyone has any pics they can post too. Then we can all see atleast an after pic of it. If you got a before pic it would help...


So, I will go first. about 2 1/2 years ago I had a 1997 Mercury Villiger minivan. I left SYF's house to go to my inlaw's house. Long story short. I was going down the highway at 70MPH. Had a perfect moment in time. 2 seconds felt like 15-30 seconds. In that time I had to decide what to do in response to a family of deer crossing the highway directly in front of me. One deer in each lane. Here is the result:

So, now that I have shown how I went deer hunting with a minivan....anyone else got pics and/or story of animal hunting with cars/trucks/vans?

You could say that.....$6800 in damage...if the motor was still good.....

value of the van at the time was $5500.....minus $1000 for high miliage..minus the $500 deductable.....

They gave us a $4500 check......that was to pay of the over $10,000 note on the van. :cry2: :cry2: ....so, still recovering financially from it.

I hit a lizard once and I made Maj get out first to check if there was guts on my side of the car because I wouldn't have gotten out if there was! Maj said that I just knocked it unconscious and the four wheel drive behind me finished it off, but I still felt really bad! It was worse driving back past it on the way home because it was there all over the road.... :cry: :cry:

Well, on that same quater mile of highway...I had hit an Armadillo with an 89 honda accord....SYF was riding in the passenger seat then...told me that nothing scares him in the car....30 secs later...boom...thought he was going to jump through the roof as he yell "oh sh**" .....did not even kill the thing....but it did put a good size crack in the front bumper and knocked it loose even. I was going 70MPH then too... :roll: :roll: :lol:
