There is an Astro Boy movie slated for release next year.

It will be CGI-animated and directed by David Bowers.

This is very cool, the film looks like it is well done, but I have no idea how accurate would be with the manga or with the cartoon shows that exist.
Still it looks like a cool movie to see :).
