Majestic Sci-fi Central started out as Majestic Downloads. It was originally a free geocities webpage that later became a free interactive forum that was located at 1-2-free-forums. This site started in late June to early July 2005, along with Elrond's Phoenix Galactic Alliance, Majestic Downloads was one of the first forums that emerged from the close friendships that had been made from Armada Fleet Command.

The second version was still located at 1-2-free-forums, but have new sections added as well as a new skin, this happened early in the boards life, but I became unhappy with the server after doing some research. I discovered that they used a out of date version of phpBB, so that board was only operational for approximately a month.

The forums took off with it's third version, which started in August 2005. Located at forumup they unlike 1-2-free-forums were using the most up to date version of phpBB. The site was transferred over manually with a new skin and a variety of new members joining.

I changed the skin later in the forums life as well as the name of the site. No longer was it Majestic Downloads but Majestic Sci-Fi Central, I also kept the old skin in case members didn't like the changes made. Not long after this the forumup server started having troubles, but didn't cause any problems to Majestic Sci-Fi Central until November/December 2005. During January it was clear that the problems were not going to be solved anytime soon so the decision was made to start my own site. I searched the net and found a Australian server which suited my needs. But forumup refused to provide backups for the forums, so I along with my staff at the time transferred the most important stuff over manually.

Using the standard version of phpBB, the new MSFC site was created. A new skin was installed along with a variety of third-party modifications making the staff jobs easier as well as it being a more enjoyable experience for it's members as well. I eventually decided along with Syf that a major change was needed due to the low activity of the site.

Over Easter of 2006, a massive upgrade was underway. I bought the vBulletin software (V3.5.4) and downloaded the vBadvanced portal software. I also added the ecDownloads software and plugin that allowed the site to have an effective downloads section. The upgrade was a painful one as at the time the MSFC webhost decided to have a host of problems, so the upgrade took close to a week to complete. I also during this upgrade promoted forum Moderator Syf to Administrator.

On the 9th of April 2007, I decided to do another upgrade. My forum licence would run out on the 17th and I knew it would be my last chance to have the latest software installed. I downloaded vBulletin v3.6.5 and the latest vBadvanced software (v2.2.1) and over the 9th, 10th and 11th I upgraded the site. Many new features were installed during this update as well.
