This is my own work that i wrote a while ago, havent shown many people. felt it was about time.

I got in touch with Majestic and he said this was the right place to put it, and i will clarify this is all my own work! not based on others, so not a fanfic lol.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

As this figure walked down the street he gazed deep into the howling wind ahead distant blurs scurrying around for shelter. Yet Ryu Sentra walked on relentlessly an affinity for the elements seemed to flow through his veins. For years he had walked the streets alone his purpose robbed of him because of a certain gift he had, the gift of killing, and inflicting pain.

His true function long forgotten he was just a shadow doomed to travel through life forever, eternally alone safe in the knowledge that the universe was indeed still watching him, and she would continue this until her stars fell out of the sky.

Many moons past he was a person to be feared, he was the harbinger of death to those who would defile the sacred place he was sworn to protect at all costs. Before that... well... he can’t remember, only images scattered fragments of a life past. A time when life was simpler, he had something else to protect.

Since the days he was discovered in the halls of the forgotten, something had been leading him calling too him, a part of him that was not of his own mind begging him tormenting him, destroying him from the inside out for what he had done.

Even with his resilience to the weather he required food and drink. So he walked to the nearest tavern in the gloomy streets of Rhona. He found a place, not to shabby of an affair out of the way and quite. Solitude, as if he hadn’t had enough, was his peace his haven. He pushed open the smaller wooden door which had been patched up with varying woods and different sized pieces packed together with yet more obscure off cuts. As he walked is a musky dry stench, mostly comprised of sweat and ale, filled his nostrils, truly repulsive. But it makes no odds to a shadow on the wind.

He walked into the bar this hilt of his sword hanging at his side, he relied on no other weapons, through out his sentence in the 13th company he was he was often mocked or abused for his choice of weapon. But when the time came to prove his metal he did so with frightening precision and power enough to even make his sergeant think twice about shouting at him.

"What can I get for you gov?" a rather squat fellow behind the bar asked. He then spied the sword firmly strapped to Ryu's belt "Oi, we're having none of that here Mr," he said hinting to Ryu's Sword.

“This?" Ryu croaked and he drew the sword from its sheath "This is a sword for ceremony and prestige”

The barman felt assured by his words and let this one pass "And I'll have some food, left-overs from the dinner service will do and a tankard of your finest.

Ryu gathered his food and drink and paid the man his credits as he walked to his seat. The pounding of his boots seemed to heavy his heart, something was burdening him. But he could not tell what, that’s if he wanted to know in the first place.

Time seemed to slow as he found his way to a table, he started to feel tired as his footsteps got heavier and heavier he walked the final steps until he felt like he did before he was conscripted, his vision was blurry and his body seemed to have given up on him. He hit the floor with a heavy thump

"You are not who you appear to be..." a strange voice screamed at him

"I am who I am!" He yelled back with a new passion

"No, you are more... you know you are, just remember."

With these last words he felt a breeze against his face and a "He's waking up!" as his eyes opened he saw a huddle gathered round him, he didn’t realise this many people could fit inside such a small inn. When his vision was restored he stood up, and felt quite undignified about the whole experience.

"Oi you should take it easy for a moment son," The bar tender said

"I am fine..." Ryu said in a cold voice void of all passion he picked up his sword and walked out of the door.

He carried on along the street, what had happened to him and seemed to strengthen him he was no longer hungry even though he hadn’t eaten, not that his mind was on food, he was mesmerised by these words. "Just remember"

"Remember what?" he asked himself

He walked down the street too busy thinking to realise that there were 3 people following him. He walked a few more yards and heard the footsteps of the people behind him; he stopped and heard their footprints slow down. The three surrounded him he looked round as calmly as you would pray. Each on their face was a varying form of disgust and hatred.

"Well aren’t you gna say summit?"

"When? Before or after you get out of my way?" Ryu said with rage building in his veins at the insolence of these people.

"Guys... Just be careful not to damage his boots... I like ‘em," Another one said as they all advanced.

Ryu drew his sword and pointed it at the first mugger.

"Then it will be you who is the first to die, out of your band of merry men..." he said with the arrogance that came with skill.

"I'd like to see you try,"

Not a second had passed from his last words and with an upward cut the first mugger looked down to see a cut shirt,

"Is that all your going to do? cut my..." but before he could finish his sentence deep red blood started swelling from his chest, the cut of the sword was so fine and so sharp with so much speed and precision it was un unnoticed. As the man looked up and down at Ryu then at the wound each time his disbelief grew more. A small amount of blood started to trickle from his mouth until it became a steady flow of this crimson liquid.

The shred of humanity that was trapped inside Ryu's body over rode his desire to watch this being die slowly, bleeding to death, He jumped and as he did he sliced off the mans head in one. As his head hit the floor a slight wink could be seen, before it became as lifeless as the stone that now support it, the headless body did the same, like a unit with no commander it fell to the road unable to harm anyone any more. he the turned at the others and as he did blood from his blade flew off and splattered into the 3rd muggers face, he wiped it off in his hand and looked at his comrades life force that was now diminished.

"Who's next?" Ryu asked as they both looked at him with utter fear and ran haphazardly tripping over cobbles and bins just to escape.
He then went to cut a piece of cloth from the man’s shirt and clean his blade, he did so and fearing any onlookers notifying people he disappeared into the night, alone again.
