With all the anger and confusion circulating at the moment over the release of a SOD importer (I won't post any more on that, as I don't want to start it all again), I am posting this to ask how the recent developments will affect the mod, as 2 good mods have already been cancelled, and I (no doubt along with everyone who follows this mod), am hoping that the release or availability of the mod will not change, as it would be tragic to see this mod go.

Right now I don't think we have a position on the matter.

In the end the choice is up to ColdDarkParanoia since he is the team leader and the rest of us will follow any decisions relating to the project that he makes.

i agree with RJB its not our right to say what we think,

We need to see what CDP wants to do.

however, the way i see it is these Import all things must have been around for a while, or at the very least they were gna be made sooner or later. Just because someone has gone public people are reacting to it, i know it makes it easier for new modellers or modists to steal work. and i guess i would be annoyed about it all, but personally i want to keep my mod open, because im doing it for the fun of it, and im making a game that i want to play.

Same here, i want to play The SGP mod, ok models might get ripped but tbh if the losers who do that actually think they are being innovative or take the credit for work that isnt theirs, they are being just that - Losers.

ok i might have contradicted myself here, but saying its not our place to try and direct the mod to stay or go. But i just felt liek gettting my vie accross anyway.

I'm not trying to tell the modding team/CDP what to do, as I agree with Jeddy it's not our place/decision, all I was saying was that I would be disappointed if the mod were stopped.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what CDP says when he comes back.
Well I don't think anyone is say that your tell anyone what to do, we are just saying that any choice on the matter will be made by CDP since he is the team leader and the rest of the team will follow that choice.

I hope we dont cancel, But there is no I in Team and we are the SGP Team. *waits for CDP* (Isn't he in France?)

Thank you all for your support, we are The Stargate Project team, we have survived website crashes and loss of forums I think it would be unfair to allow anything to stop us from completing this project. So many people have put so much time and effort into this, with many more people eagerly awaiting its release. Let us not disapoint hey :)

Hi all,

i'm not a modder but am a huge stargate fan it took me w hile to find where you guys were chatting as i loved the b5 mod but am after a stargate mod. i only could find individual ships and with me not being much of a modder can't do much about it. everywhere i go they have got rid of the go'uld add on race mod which i managed to get before everyone got rid. i really hope this mod dosent get canceled i was just reading what you all were saying and i would very much like the mod. plus if you want i dont mind posting any problems i find as i'll play it full like i do all the mods ive seen. best regards dean moore

hey all i just had a thought if u were worried about people stealing you ideas and work. cant you encrypt the download with a password so only members can download it with a passwork they have to get from you or anything like that? i cant wait to here news about the devlopment but as i said i aint a modder and would love to see how it plays being a big fan. just thought i'd message my idea with you all being modders you guys would know if you could password protect it or something.

whats the point in that this mod is a public mod and we want to share our work personnaly i dont mind if any thing i make is used by some one else it means they were impressed with my work and thats what its about once they give credit i dont care and i would think the same goes for everyone else here

sorry i just was looking at the posts i hope it does become public and everyone to share it and love the mod just like i would just wouldnt want all your hard work to be ripped off thats all. i didnt mean any ofense and do apologise if what i said has caused offense . i just think you guys deserve more credit for your work as a fellow fan of stargate and the game i would apreciate all you have done for the mod.

this mod that you guys are all doing how is the install process going to work is it going to be like the babylon 5 one, an exe file? or like just a copy the file into the armada2 directory type of install?

i think i remember a conversation on this and we agreed it would be an exe not sure though

i thinck it should be realsed as an exe and a file as those who have other mods can add them manually and allso adapt them themselves so that they can help improve

Its going to be an EXE. That way everyone can install it, and anyone wanting to just use the models would have the Knowledge to workout how to do so :)
