This here is the general chat forum for Heros.

To start with, has anyone else been hooked on this show? I am. I am addicted. It's like a "more realistic" version of X-men or any other Mutant comic book or show.

Who is your favorite character?

Mine is Hiro. I like the little guy.

Who is you most liked/disliked villian?

Mine would be Mr. Letterman (if that's how you spell it).

Have you watched the Season Finale? Are you excited to see volume two will be produced?

No, I missed Stan Lee's heroes.

The season finale was this past week here in the US. How about down there in Oz?

Syf

I hear you on that. Well, here in the US, the season is over. I must say, I am really looking forward to season 2. I expect that will start sometime in September here.

Iccky, Your in for a treat when you watch the last episode of season 1.

Another Star Trek alumnus has been cast in Heroes as Nichelle Nichols joins the show:

"Nichelle Nichols Joins Heroes
Source: TV Guide August 14, 2007

TV Guide reports that Nichelle Nichols is joining the "Heroes" cast:

Tim Kring's hailing frequency remains open to Star Trek crossovers. Having recruited George "Sulu" Takei to portray Hiro's father during Season 1, the Heroes creator has called upon Nichelle Nichols, aka USS Enterprise communications officer Lt. Uhura, to fill a short-term role. Nichols, an NBC spokesperson tells TVGuide.com, will be playing "Nana," the New Orleans-based grandmother of Monica (the new hero being played by The Nine's Dana Davis)."

"Kristen Bell signed for multi-episode arc on 'Heroes'

03:12 PM CDT on Monday, August 20, 2007

By MIKE HOUSEHOLDER / Associated Press

DETROIT – Kristen Bell is going from solving mysteries to being a part of one.

The 27-year-old actress, who starred for three seasons as teenage detective Veronica Mars on the now-canceled show of the same name, will appear in a multi-episode arc on NBC's "Heroes" this fall.

"This was not easy to pull off. But since we're an ensemble show, with many arcs playing out through the year, we found a way to jump into a small window in her schedule," Tim Kring, the show's executive producer and creator, said in a statement Monday.

Kring said Bell's character, Elle, will appear in October and will be "a sexy, intriguing, mysterious young lady" who will commit a terrible crime, but it won't be clear whose side she is really on."

That reminds me. I have to get my cable plugged into my PC before then. Forget Tivo... I have a PC more than capable of recording them, and burn to disc.:p

Yeah yeah Halo 3... That really bites because I don't get a XB360 until tax season. I have to wait 6 long months for my Halo 3. Unless they release the PC version soon too.:cry2:

WHEY!!!

I watched all of Season 1 of this last week (downloaded) and I am attached to it now. I know a lot of people say it is like X Men, and in a way, it is, but still, it is a wicked show, and I cannot wait for Season 2.

PS: Syler isn't dead, and there is a 'badder' guy. Oh Gosh!

that was pretty much revealed at the end of season 1 though. the preview just confirms it. i reckon Silar wont be as big a threat this season though, i think he's injured or in a coma or something from the little bit in the preview - not surprising given he was in a bad way at the end of season 1.

Still there is slightly more revealed in the other preview vid apparently. if only we could find it lol

Volume II Chapter 3: Kindred:
I am beginning to like the two runaway siblings and where the hell is Sylar.

The next chapter on Thursday October 25 is TV WEEK's Pick of the Day. Reviewer David Kettle says that it has made a good approach for this season to mix old and new Heroes together.

Volume II Chapter 4: The Kindness of Strangers:
It has been implied that Claude (Chris Eccleston) was part of the group of 12 so it was quite curious that he didn't seem to be in that group picture. What a shocking revelation that the group include Matt's father.
This episode introduces Monica and her wanting to get out of a dead-end job for something more exciting sort of made me think of Rose from Doctor Who.
The romance between Claire and West really does not interest me.
Quite a disturbing image when Nathan looked at the mirror.

Quite a disturbing image when Nathan looked at the mirror. That is intriguing me...

I wont go into too much detail about the following episode, but Nathan has a fight, I wont say who with, but it has a connection with his 'Mirror Image'. I question whether he has the power to do more than just fly when it suits him.

We know of Nikki / Jessica's power. I question whether Nathan has something similar, but with a twist.

Volume II Chapter 5: Fight or Flight:
Kirsten Bell who of course am familiar with as Veronica Mars finally appears. What a delight to see her.
Wow impressive when Monica played the piano.
Nice intercutting of the scenes between the fights of Nathan and deformed Nathan and Matt and the prison guard only for it to turn out to be a fight between Matt and Nathan thanks to illusions made by Matt's father.

The next episode on Thursday November 8 comes fourth place in TV WEEK's highlights of the day with reviewer David Kettle commenting on Hiro being in a predicament over the woman he loves.

Meanwhile Heroes: Origins have been halted:
From TV Tonight:
"NBC has shelved the 6 part series indefinitely.

Although it hasn't been axed altogether, the spin-off, which is to also undergo a title change, has been halted while the impending Writer's strike hovers over production."

I have to admit, Heroes has taken a on a full time "watch" for me as much as any "Star Trek" did. I guess growing up reading the X-men comics influenced me like of the show.

Currently, there are 3 episodes left until they "save the world" again... I can't wait to see Hiro's face when he meets Peter's new friend!:Y

I will say though:Adam has something seriously evil planned, something of which will kill many I suspect. That whole 'Virus' issue, I believe it is Adam who causes it.

Well... I've just (three or so hours ago) watched Powerless, that is episode 11, volume two, season two, and I have to say, it was a great end to the season. I can only hope that this writers strike doesn't render the show doomed.

Plenty of action, a few nice twists (some of which you don't see coming).

As for who dies:It was Niki & Nathan, at least, we think... Niki was in a building that exploded, and Nathan was shot by an unknown person. Niki probably is dead, though Nathan has Adam's blood in him, so he may regenerate like he did from his burns..?

Also, Maya dies (Sylar shoots her), though is brought back to life (with Claire's Blood). And as for Adam... Lets just say he gets burried alive ;)

Also, Sylar, come episode 12, will be back in Action just as he once was before, and possibly with a new power... Wont say what, people should pick it up from the episode, but even then, that power isn't guarenteed...

Babylon 5 star Bruce Boxleitner joins Heroes:
Cult - News - 'Heroes' lands 'Babylon 5' star - Digital Spy (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/cult/a95613/heroes-lands-babylon-5-star.html)

Just rewatching series 1 on DVD.

And one thing i noticed when Hiro is saying goodbye to his fathera nd sister, the registration on the car is "NCC-1701" People have probably noticed this before, but i think its rather amusing seen as the person who plays Hiro's father is Sulu! that and Hiro's most common phrase during the first few episodes is "Like Star trek!"
