I voted for the Klingon D12 class. :D One question: Is it the D12 that is the K'Vort, or is it the B'rel? :)

It would be the B'rel since the K'VorT is a TNG thing :)

I've gone for the Akula Refit, since I just plain love that ship. I notice your model has Megaphaser Cannons. Interesting, since my Warsaw Class Destroyer Leader has a megaphaser, except it replaces the front centre phaser emitter.

From my understand it's neither but an early BOP, same type as seen in ST3 and 4, the one Kirk uses to go back in time with. Also in ST7 (Generations) the Duras sisters had one, the defective plasma coils onboard allowed Worf and Data to blow the ship up.

The K'vort is the cruiser type seen in TNG and the B'Rel is a smaller type.

Not to contradict you Majestic but the Bird of Prey seen in ST3 and 4 (and the one the fire while cloaked BoP in 6 was based on) is the B'rel. They continued to be used well into the mid 24th Century, and are seen on DS9 and such (although TNG was a little nebulous about which Bird of Prey was which on any given episode. Some were definately K'VorTs, others were B'rels and some were kind of intbetween sizes, due to the special effect department not having any consistency at all! :) )

Yeah I am not to sure on the whole thing, it's just that line by Worf in Generations about them being retired makes me think that the D12 and B'Rel may be two different classes as we see the Rotaran in Ds9 and it's size is roughly the same as the Defiant 120-180 meters, certainly not the size of the K'vort which is over 400 meters.

I really only have a few words to say, bugger those CGI mishaps and errors.

Onto the poll I am still trying to make my mind up over the Littlehawk and the Pazak. :lol2:

No worries Borg_Queen, it's a bit of a grey area when it comes to Klingon BOP's.

I finally voted, the Gorn Pazak got my vote.

I voted for the BoP myself, though i like the Akula too.

On a side note, where'd you get the Pazak name from?

swear it was a card game in the KOTOR games...

The way I interpretted Worfs line was that they were an older series of B'rel. Lets face it, the little Bird of Prey is nearly a century old, and production is still going strong, but it would be stupid to assume the design hasn't be changed at all. Incremental changes from one series to another, fixing defects, upgrading systems and so forth. Just because the B'rel in ST3/4 , the B'rel in ST Generations, and the IKS Rotarran looked pretty similar/the same, doesn't meant the internals are the same at all. Also, B'rel is simply the Klingon word for Bird of Prey, so technically all ships of that type, regardless of class are "B'reL" because they are Birds of Prey ;)

Anyways, wildly offtopic.

A very good point no doubt like the D7/K'Tinga's they were upgraded with newer tech to keep them in service. I think at the end of the day none of really know weather the D12 and B'rel are the same ship nor not and all we can do is take educated guesses. Considering the D12 is the only one (Klingon BOP) in YY's I don't think it really makes a big difference weather people think of it as a B'rel or a older class at all. :)

Knight, I was wondering how long it would take someone to pick up on that. ;)

Looks like the D12 is weeding out all the TNG fans.

so was it sooner or later than you thought lol?

as someone who voted for the d12, i should add its because i like klingon ships. besides, my favourite trek was DS9 - i loved the dominion war storyline :). TNG was too "who can we not shoot at and make friends with this week" for me

I am a fan of the design, it's why I insisted it be in YY in the first place.

Once again I am stuck between the Klingon ship and the Gorn one, though since I voted Klingon last time I voted for the Gorn this time :)

I choose the Klingon BoP. As far as the different classes of it. They maybe different but they always used the same visual effect to blow them up and we always saw the same klingon fly and burn as it blew up. :lol2:

I was tempted, admittedly, by her nacelles. Her saucer, however, did not seem round enough. Something about the Klingon vessel simply did not agree with me, perhaps that particular shade of green. So, between the Romulan and Gorn vessels, I finally went with the Gorn.

i agree with the Akula, but i also respect that there are poly limitations that may lead to thigns being less rounded than we like, but the kilingon one, is pretty awesome. and i actually quite like the colour.

Would you believe me if I told you that the Klingon vessel has an extra 6 pollies on the Akula?

Like Jeddy said, the saucers aren't completely round due to poly limitations, one must cut down on the pollies somewhere. Syf can easily make an awesome looking ship but A2 has limitations and making a low poly ship look almost as good as a high poly one takes more talent, something Syf has in large quantities.

You will notice all the good Armada 2 mods like KA2 and Zero Hour try and keep the pollies down on their models so they don't affect game-play (lag). It's something we are also trying to do, who would want during a massive battle for it to start to lag and get choppy?

Well I rambled on enough. :lol2:
