Lets face it, they make great companions, we care about them as much as any human. Most of us at one point has had a pet, so which is your favourite?

I think it's obvious that I LOVE cats. And while I don't have one with me right now, I will in the future. I shall love him and cuddle him and call him Cathulhu.

They are my favourite too, we plan to get a second one soon, a boy this time!

As someone who grew up with dogs, I'm going to have to say that they're my favourite. My uncle kept a cat, but I never saw the appeal of the things myself...

A little West Highland White Terrier ('Westie') is one of the cutest, most affectionate things in existence :).

I am for the most part a Kitty person, I have however done my share of breeding show rabbits and they can be just as adorable and cute and cuddly as any kitty!

Though I must also say I am rather partial to the silky terrier, mainly due to the sweetest friendliest one my grandmother had when I was a kid, we were inseperable when I went to visit!

She's Cute, and almost a spitting image of our Luna. Here is a picture of her on my chair.

Since it's a multiple choice poll, I said cats and dogs. All cats like me but it's pretty hit and miss with dogs. On the other hand, dogs that like me will sometimes take my orders over those of people they have known longer, like their owner.

Anyway, since we're sharing cat pics, here's Winterfoot:

Agreed. Luna and Doodle are cuties (why do kittehs turn me into a big softy?)
Winterfoot too, but he looks angry in that second one, lol. But what a gorgeous colour he is, so unusual;)

His color is a little off in the pictures, but he's just a grey tabby with some brown. And that's his 'just woke up but in a good mood' face, not his angry face. We haven't actually seen his angry face, but his 'religiously significant fecal matter, there's a door there!' face is pretty priceless, as we discovered the other day.

Who can't love Cat's, I mean really. Winterfoot looks a lot like a Cat that we want next. We want a Grey/Silver Tabby as our next but at the end of the day Cat's usually pick their pets don't they? Yes we're their pets.

We got Luna from the RSPCA, who rescue animals here in Australia. If they don't find homes for them they are put down. Our next Cat will come form there as well as Cat's and Dogs in pet shops are always sold, but not always at the RSPCA. If Kat and I had the money and room we would start a Cat shelter to take those who are to be put down it's really sad. The good thing about the RSPCA is they are cheaper than pet shops most of the time and the Cats are already de-sexed and microchipped, pet shops generally only microchip them. You you also save money as well as a life by going there.

I have two totally sweet, cute, fussy, wonderfully elegant, enchanting...

Ah another Miles O'Brien we have here. :lol2:

My Dad used to hunt a lot, so I have been brought up amongst gun dogs. My first dog was a German Shorthaired Pointer. Lovely thing, I only remember her when she was of age, but there are a lot of pictures of her up around the home.

After she passed, we got a Hungarian Vizsla. If you are wondering what that is, you aren't the only one, they aren't a very common dog, great family pet though. They are good pointers and flushers for game birds.

A few years after getting the Vizsla we got a black Labrador to compliment the pointer/flusher as a retriever.

Unfortunately the Vizsla has passed on, but we still have the Lab.

I'm a very dog person, my girlfriend had 2 dogs, one of them recently passed, She had Boxer (They get their namesake because they will box you and they will win) and she currently has a Doberman.

That's not to say I don't enjoy the company of the good cat, I had two cats for a while, however I went for a ski holiday in Canada and both of them needed to be put down while I was gone, so I never got to say goodbye :'(

I am a cat lover as well. But don't get me wrong, I love dogs too. My most recent pet was an awesome friend. He passed on about 1 1/2 years ago. I have not had the nerve to get another one. But instead, The neighborhood pets seem to claim me now. I am often popping up over at me neighbors to fix their PCs and whatnot. Every time I go where there is a cat or dog, they must have my attention. Very demanding they are. So yeah, even though my "Owner" has passed away, the neighborhood now watches over me. 8 Dogs and 3 cats to be exact now claim me.:lol:

Hello:
I might guess your real name is HP Lovecat :lol2:.
I have always had cats and dogs as pets, I have three dogs right now and two dogs and a cat in my cousin's house (next to mine). But I like rabbits too and one day (maybe in the very far future :D ) I might get one.

Why isn't ferret listed? It's the 3rd most common pet in the USA (after cat and dog)...

First and foremost, though, cats. They're just awesome.

They aren't listed as I forgot, I sat there for 10 minutes and thought about all common household pets and I couldn't think of any more, I even asked Katala. The sad thing is a while back we knew someone who had a ferret.

Hello:
There are 434 Raiders on my Baseship (is the retconned version), and the Cavils aboard say they are almost like pets... trained to kill Colonial Vipers :naughty:.

Here we have 2 cats, lovely fiends as they are, Turtle and Jack.
Turtle is a very pretty (and loud) tortoise shell calico from what we've been told, love her though, even as annoying as she can get at night. "Merrrow peerrrow MERRROW!!!!!"
She has conversations very loudly with her echos in the house.
Jack is just a friendly, if skittish, large, muscly, black and white fuzzball, he generally sits on Granny's lap when she's watchin' TV. =^.^=
I still can't help but feed my virtual fish every 2-3 days.:lol2:

"And you can go get a new goddam dog. Sometimes, you can get a dog that looks exactly like the dog you used to have. Right? You shop around a little bit, and you find a dog identical to your former dog. And that's real handy cause you don't have to change the pictures on your mirror or anything. Right?" - George Carlin (R.I.P.)

Now there's only one dog in the whole world that I can stand. Cute one. Mabye I like that dog because she usually behaves like a mixture of a dog and a cat.

I voted cats and turtles.
Cats are usually just cute and intelligent. I love cats.
And I have to admit: I talk to them.
There's a cat in my house (12 families living here) that usually sits on the stairway. Over the last two years it has grown fatter and fatter, but is still quite agile. The first thing I do at 8 o'clock in the morning when I come home is to mimic a "Miau" and tell her she's gotten fat.
That's what EMS does to ya!

I am not too good around dogs. For one thing I do not understand why I have to behave a certain way for someone elses pet not to become funny in public. (You know: like, don't show any fear or don't be paniced or don't behave a certain way) I am a human being arrogant enough to put his needs over the needs of animals. And your dogs has to respond to me, not the other way around.
I accept dogs, but I do not particulary like them, with one exception.
A few years ago there was a dog wrapping his teeth around my right hand. No serious follow-up, but it did hurt alot.

So you liked the one that bit you?
And actually Maj, if I let my fish go to long without food, they will eventually keel over and end belly up at the top of the virt tank. And if/when that happens I feel all depressed and blah for a while, I grow attached to any that I don't breed to sell. The game is "Fishville" on FB, got it bookmarked so I don't need to look at my wall or anything lol. I feed em, clean the tanks, and if they get sick, I feed em the meds to cure em, but they normally only get sick past the 5 day range, with a few getting sick sooner cause they are different fish. Yeah, gonna go feed em now I think...
