I love the Stalker Maj. The detailing near the bridge and the impulse engines look very reminiscent of a precursor to the ones on the D-6, very nice progression.

Excellent job! I look forward to torpedoing her over and over again

I guess that makes all the TNG Klingons OLD then - makes sense to me :lol2:
Some nice work going on Maj, it's making me itch to build another Klinker.

Thanks everyone. Glad you all like it. :)

The way I've set up YY Klingons are that they mainly run an old refitted fleet most of their designs either come from the 22nd century or early 23rd. YY is set about 10 years after Khitomer just to get an idea of the timeframe involved.

So far the only new designs the Klingons will field are the battleship (2290's), command cruiser (2270's), B'rel (2270's), heavy destroyer (2280's/2290's) and battlecruiser (2290's). Everything else is old. I might make another 2270's/2280's design just to add another new design into the mix.

The NuQPah is here. The Predecessor to the NuQ'Duj, The NuQPah was created as a picket, security vessel for the Klingon Security Bureau that is responsible for patrolling shipping lanes and defending against light pirate activity. During conflicts and wartime many of these vessels are reassigned by the command of the High Council and Imperial Defence force as a military scout due to not having a destroyer or frigate such as a Bird of Prey available due to being required for combat roles and duties.

I think that makes sense for the Klingons, they are less about innovation than muscle. Klingons are the intergalactic jocks of the Star Trek universe, going around giving wedgies to all the others and calling the science-y Federation "nerds". Love that little killer bee Maj, plenty of those stings will bring down a bigger ship.

Much of the Klingon fleet should look like a bunch of old ships that have been patched up and refitted with "more": more power, more speed, more cannons, just more. Every now and again they develop a new design or three, but they just stick to what works. Basically a spaceframe with a whole lot of guns.

Which is why I adore the D-7 Warbird of the JJ-verse, it's my favorite variant of the D-7. Them cannons mean business! I mean hey, it's better than the IKS Peacock that they gave the Klinkers in STD. Lol.

Why didn't this ever show up in the movies? It's a much better re-imagining of the D7 than the re-imagined Constitution was.

You're on a roll here Maj, the Feds should start watching their backs with all these Klingon ships popping up!

@CABAL Didn't the JJ D7 appear in the Koby Maru test scene? I swear it was the same model used.

I barely remember the '09 movie, to be honest. I mostly remember Into Darkness and Beyond.

Jetfreak is correct, the reimagined D-7 can be seen during the Kobayashi Maru test sequence, in the movie they reference the ship as a Klingon "Warbird". It was also originally written into two unfilmed sequences for the film:
1) Following the Kelvin's suicide run against the Narada, the ship drifts into Klingon space and several D-7s decloak around her and capture her.
2) A fleet of D-7s was destroyed by the Narada when Nero and his crew escape from Rura Penthe, Uhura references intercepting communications of these events in the movie.

In any case, back on point, I think that it suits the Klingons to use refitted and retrofitted technology, as opposed to coming up with shiny new ships and new designs too often. I like that Maj is taking this kind of approach to their fleet.

Hello:
Majstic, as you know, I have been following some of your updates on DA. It is amazing that you have been able to keep working with your ships and to make so many new ones, that is quite a skill :) .

Thanks everyone glad you like them. :)

Here is the command cruiser, the Suv'Qev class. Built in the 2260's, she was the forerunner for the fleet refit program. One of the Empire's newer designs she's still by the time of YY about 30 years old.

I used Wickedzombie's model as a starting point here but totally redesigned the class, I wanted it to look more advanced and unique. I hate 3 nacelle designs with a passing passion and so removed the 3rd nacelle from the design. The neck and rear upper deck was totally redesigned by me to fit with what I wanted from this design. She's one of the only Klingon designs with a fore and aft shuttlebay. Should she field fighters? Only time will tell.

With this class I wanted to show a progression of the nacelle design, departing the K'tinga style and heading towards the Vorcha style. She's an intermediary step between the two with the battleship being another step towards the Vorcha.

She was also the last class (except for destroyers) produced with the bulb (command section at the front of the ship, that was introduced in the D6 class), later designs went back to the more modular construction methods, again heading towards the Vorcha.

2 ships in one day, the Imperial fleet is expanding!

Here is the Duv'ahk, my own design. She's an older design dating back to the late 22nd century. She's a support cruiser in today's fleet, tough and robust. But not very powerful in weaponry. She serves best as a fire saturation ship, designed to draw fire from other more important ships like the K'tinga and D6. The Duv'ahk can withstand a great deal of punishment.

I created her as I wanted another ship that shared similar features to the D6, as I didn't want the D6 to be the odd ship out in the fleet. In fact she was almost a rejected design but I stuck with her and this is the result.

So much excellence in a fleet Maj, love it. They will make the perfect foil against my beloved Feds. Klingons will return to being the conquerors of the galaxy! :exter:

Sadly, Yesteryears when private then came back then died. All that is officially around is the Demo/teaser Majestic posted years ago as he was replacing all his models with better ones.

Aw nuts. I knew that Maj was considering moving on from A2 finally towards Sins but I didn't know that he'd finally made it official.

That's too bad, Yesteryears seemed like it was going to be A2's swan song, literally going out on a high note. Alas, the winds shift and the terrain is changed forever.

Thanks for sharing with us your great imagination Maj, A2 was all the better for it.

Stay classy San Diego

Nothing official mate. I'm only one man how has chronic tiredness and been busy with other things the project isn't dead just not being worked on currently. I have been thinking of possibly moving it to Sins of a Solar Empire as I might be able to get some modellers and modders to help me out.

Atm it's just not a priority as I'm restoring a 4wd which is currently taking all my time. This is like the first time in 2 weeks that I've actually started my computer up.

Yeah I'm not going anywhere, I'm still around if not as much.
I still have desires to complete Yesteryears, it might take a long time but eventually I'll get there.

Very good to know, mwahahahaha.... *ahum*.

I know what you mean, at least you have much more models done for your prime-timeline Yesteryears than what I have done for my custom timeline

A lot of years there. While 99% of the Federation are complete I have a long way to go with the Klingons lol.

I know, specially if we consider the research you certainly did to get the proper designs. And don't mention the Klingons as I am going to make my own too :D . I plan in some slight reimagination so it fits with my custom Starfleet.

It's good to see you around again Maj. I hope your 4wd project is going along well.

I know how life has a tendency of interrupting every other second, so you take whatever time you need/want and do your thing at your own pace. If you ever decide to release Yesteryears for A2, then I know there will be plenty of folks around here that will enjoy it. If you decide to move onto Sins, then craft your magic there brother. I look forward to seeing all the pics and vids (My computer is way too old to run Sins, which is why I still play A2 LOL).

Whatever you decide to do, I know I'll be interested in seeing where you take it.
