Just a little something I decided to do today. Wasn't in the mood for finishing off the Construction ship so I decided to do this instead.

It's a refitted Constitution class, probably the last refit before the TMP or Phase II specs. It's not meant to be accurate to any model, and so the nacelles are different including a slight tilt to them rather than the straight cylinders, a more advanced deflector and new pylons are also part of the package. Basically I look at this refit as being part of a refit process for advanced navigational and propulsion technologies which lead the way to the technology employed in the 2271 fleet wide refit scheme which started with the USS Enterprise.

It's in the Yesteryears section as it will be included in the mod. I might even when I start looking at a campaign at doing a TOS mission or two set before the YY story.

Nice I like :thumbsup: She looks well thought out. Question how come you didn't use any of the Tug designs for your noncoms?

Thanks Starfox. I wanted to keep true to the original but have a slightly more modern feel to her, hence the tilted pylons, slightly more modernised nacelles etc. I am thinking of perhaps going back to a more standard dish though. I guess I'll she what she is like after texturing.

You mean like the Ptolemy Class? If so, the reason for this is plainly I wanted a more industrial and modular look. I got into the modular mind set after working on the Mining Stations for TCW. I think it works well and it also gives the feel that while the mining barge and construction ship are different designs they would be used for either purpose with just replacing the pods. You know when demand is high for mining ships or when setting up in a new sector etc.

I have now fully completed the Constitution, having given it a standard deflector and a new impulse deck along with a little poly reduction just for piece of mind.

However there is only like a 100 poly difference between the two different deflectors and so here is the ship with the advanced deflector.

I'll probably do both versions and then decided which I want to use.

Continuing on with TOS era, here is the TOS Battleship, a monster and a evolutionary dead end and so was never refitted but remained part of the Federation Reserve Fleet. The Proxima class was a design that appeared in Legacy, never a fan of the refitted one the TOS fits in perfectly with the designs that we saw in the era. Beats the pants off the Federation class IMO.

This model is part mine, part Star Trek Legacy and still a heavily work in progress. I plan on rebuilding the engineering hulls as well as the pylons, everything else is by mean including the deflector dishes. She will be a bit of a monster already over 8k however I plan for this design to be expensive, slow and bulky and basically never seen due to it's rarity. My views on this is if FO can get away with a 10k+ Borg Cube then so can I with a TOS Battleship that is rarely ever seen.

It won't be everyone's cup of tea. I am not a huge fan of it but prefer it over the other TOS Battleships (Federation and Yamamoto classes).

After doing a TMP design today I decided to give the Surveyor class a shot, it's a fire support ship. I still have some work to do on the bridge area plus a few other tweaks but it's pretty much done. A bit higher than I hoped in the poly count, however it's a limited used ship and you'll probably won't use many, maybe 2 per attack fleet.

Nice job. The funny thing is that A request for conversion of the BC version came in a couple weeks ago on Dynaverse:lol:
