• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

This is this first of many (possible) previews of the models in Yesteryears. It's really up to you guys. Do you want to see these or not?

Indeed, the success or failure of this new feature is entirely up to you the fans to decide. If there is enough interest we will continue, if not it well you all get the picture.

Yes, Syf and I have been busy for the past 6 months. The Ulysses class ay, I will see about adding it to the list. Unsure when the next update will be, still waiting on some more responses to see if all the effort is really worth it.

Majestic, as I gather that you are placing Cardassian vessels into the Yesteryears mod, I would love to see what else you've cooked up with them - and how you and Syf will be fitting them into the game storyline.

We currenly only have the Cardassian Battleship completed. When we have more on them will will show them off, just focusing on the main races at the moment.

I quote from the Chronicles thread.

Yesteryears: The Starship Chronicles said:
The starship chronicles is a newly added feature that the 2A-A2 team is introducing and testing out.

What is the Starship Chronicles?
The starship chronicles is something that the 2A-A2 team who are responsible for producing Yesteryears are introducing. Every couple of weeks (time permitting) we will release detailed information, pictures and histories on the ships and stations of Yesteryears. Please note it will only be one ship or station at a time and it will be chosen at random.

Why is this being introduced?
We have decided to do something special for the MSFC Yesteryears fans. It gives you more information and content while you wait for the mod to be completed.

May I request a ship or station to be included in the next Starship Chronicles update?
You may by posting in this thread. There is no guarantee that we will take up the said request, but it never hurts to ask.

Who will be writing the Starship Chronicles?
Majestic will be doing the Starship Chronicles with assistance from Syf. Majestic is the 2A-A2 Publics Relations Officer for the team.

Plus Syf and I haven't had much time to work on this, but we assure you that in the next few weeks to post something new for you all.

For the last few weeks, I've been working an average of 75 hours each at my "day job". There are only 168 hours in a week. then you figure about 30 hours of sleep, 40 cooking/preparing meals for my kids. Then add in admin duties, PMs, Posts, bicycle repairs, Building a computer from scratch (including a custom case mod), teaching my kid to play Star Trek Armada 2, and spending family time with my kids (4 of them)... I haven't had much time to spare lately.

So, I apologize to everyone for not spending much time on this during the last few weeks.:(

Well, Syf, at least you're spending time with your family. I hope your kid enjoys learning to play Armada II!

I said I had something up my sleeve... and there you have it. If you haven't looked at the Starship Chronicles thread yet, Get to it already...

Then we hope to see some feedback/questions/comments from you real soon. The more response we get, the more we'll give you!

You want this mod... Feedback, feedback, feedback (and be nice about it...) is what it's going to take. It's very inspiring to us modders. The same goes toward most all mods and modders.

So, about that Constitution, as it has two torpedo launchers, does that rule out any stern-firing torpedoes?

Beautiful guys. I have a question. Your Feseration Hero Ship, will it be Enterprise or Enterprise-A? I know, I know...it's exactly the same ship, but that little letter makes alot of difference to some people.

Also, I was wondering. Could you make a *Star Trek 6: Undiscovered Country* version of the D-7 but it has 2 photon torps on the front of the ship? I saw that somewhere on the web but I can't remember where.

Its the Enterprise-B as the mod is set after ST6, the Ent-A was decomissioned at the end of that movie.

The D7 only had one fore facing torpedeo launcher, the C7 has two on the nose.

I should have read better, helps if you have the coffee before you hop on the computer.

Regarding the C-7...then it was here I saw it. May I have an updated screen shot please?

I plan on adding new screenshots to the gallery every fortnight-month until the mod is released. The members can send me screenshots they make and I can uploaded them for them.

As for the C7, in YY she was built for an invasion of the Federaion before Praxis blew up. The C7 is the reason the Federation Ulysses was built.

Forgive me but I need to correct some knowledge. If I may, The D-7 from ST6 is actually a K'T'Inga class (notice the apostophie both before and after the "t") The I.K.S. Kronos One was also a K'T'Inga class.

One, this is more suited for the YY General chat area. Two, The special weapons and such have already been discussed and decided on between the team during earlier development.

I have noted that before. Its called D7 in YY as I personally believe it wasn't called K'Tinga until it's TNG era refit.

Its the same as calling a Constitution Refit just a Constitution. Plus D7 matches the other units like the D6, D12, C7 and so on.
