• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Definatly, and you're doing a great job of it too :)

I second that nomination. I think you guys are fantasic, and I can not wait to see what 2 peoples imaginative minds have created regarding the story line and plot.

I haven't actually counted the exact number of models, but it's over 200 plus. All made custom for this mod.:)

That's not counting the endless supply of rejected models. Both Majestic and I go over each model with a fine tooth comb. I make them, then we sometimes decide to redo this part or that. Some of the more reworked models easily have been replaced 6 or more times. That means back to the drawing board, and a new or updated model. The last model I did, has been revised 3 times, hence there are 4 models from it. Now, if one wants to include all those rejects, then we are talking we have made over a thousand models in relation to this mod.;)

Indeed and may of the not so successful designs actually make their may into become map units. I have actually a few ideas for some of them rolling around in my head.

Then one must remember or the research pods for the research stations, the map units and campaign fleets that one will see when playing the campaign. I have for the past two days been going through various sites for designs for vessels that will appear in the campaign for one or more races.

Luke, those are not my batteries..... :lol2: Well, don't stop, or change your batteries. I still can't wait to see the awesome efforts of two minds joined as one. Question, will one of you start a thread showing us some of the rejected models. Or maybe some of the revamp ones (before and after shots). I think it would be really cool, and I think people would enjoy seeing the other side of you guys (your mistakes)

Well we will think about it. Some of the problem with that is a lot of the rejects are related to models we don't want to show yet.

Don't worry, that I would not expect.

I save all models I make, regardless if they are used or not. Never know when one might need one for something. And as proven, Majestic likes to have that. We have "revived" a few models that were not going to be used, then found a use for them.

Indeed poor guy, late time we slid him to a parallel dimension never to be heard from again. I can tell you it wasn't a nice dimension either. *Rubs hands together with evil grin*

[Romulan Voice]
This is the Tal Shiar. Prepare for . . . extraction.
[/Romulan Voice]

About the cloaking device being permissible in canon, I'm almost certain that Section 31 was introduced in connection to Kirk's theft of a Romulan cloaking device in an episode of The Original Series. Would that affect the Soyuz - or even the game plot? After all, who better to warn Starfleet of the presence of a Juggernaut? Or, not warn Starfleet, as the case may be . . .

Unfortunately we have a pretty heafty campaign already going. I just wish A2 had four campaigns like A1 or allowed for one to add more campaigns or increased the amount of missions a campaign could have.

Yeah that would be good, they cut down the amount of campaigns in A2 because they thought the A1 campaigns were "too long", but I liked the longer A1 campaigns more than the A2 ones anyway.

So we're only going to play as the federation in campaign mode. Dang it, is there no way to alter the code?

Um no. I said there was three campaigns. I have also posted more than once who you play and in what order. I suggest having a look at the updates thread.
