• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Why herrooo there! ^,..,^

Sup! I'm CABAL's little sister, Rain. I made an account a while ago, buuuut I never used it and it got removed. ^^; I also tried to make another one at some point, but it was not approved because I use the same IP as my bro, and/or the username (xRAINxOFxBLOODx) apparently looked like a spambot...? :c

I'm also the one who apparently discovered good ol' Jet Nova's twitter (and also that he was following my best friend's boyfriend's twitter?! Small world...). Yes, I know full well of him and his misadventures. As much as someone could know without actually witnessing the events first hand, probably.

I'm an artist, and a fan of horror (sans jumpscares), vampires, fantasy, and video games (especially sandbox!). I'll admit, sci-fi isn't my typical jam, but I enjoy watching Star Trek with my brother every now and then.

(P.S., are there any decent sci-fi vampires?)

Welcome! And I have no idea why there are no decent sci-fi vampires.

Also, as to space-vampires...there are the Wraith in SGA? That's all I've got...

Ah, yes...and Blade, now that I think of it. But still, space vampires might be cool.

Thank you, and yes, because it's kinda funny and I still wonder....why is he following my BF's BF?! CANNOT COMPUTE.

Welcome Rain,
As a Seattleite I dig your name. Wouldn't be here without it.
As for sci-fi vampires, hmmm, for live action have you seen the canadian cop show Forever Knight? Half of the anime from japan is vampires, some silly like Nyanpire to the current production Seraph of the End. Any particular type of vampire or are you up for any kind?

Roger that on Cabal LOL just making sure ;)

As to space vampires now that I given it more thought there is also

The movie Lifeforce (1985)

The Salt Vampire aka The M113 creature in Star Treksclassic episode 'The Man Trap.'

Vampirella ( comic book ) Vampirella was originally presented as an inhabitant of the planet Drakulon, a world where a vampiric race lived on blood and where blood flowed in rivers. Drakulon orbits twin suns that were causing droughts across the planet, marking certain doom for Vampirella and her race. The race of which Vampirella was born, the Vampiri, were able to transform themselves into bats at will, possessed superhuman physical attributes, sprout wings when required to fly, and drink blood.

and Buck Rogers had the energy-draining space vampire the Vorvon

As to Jet nova he a creep to put it nicely

I enjoyed Vampire Knight, although it was a bit Twilight-ish. My favorite vampires are generally the old fashioned, but romantic kind, like Interview With a Vampire. Although I don't expect to see victorian vampires in sci-fi.

Welcome to MSFC, great to see Cabal's sister has joined us.

As for Space Vampires, there are the Salt Vampires from the TOS Star Trek, the Wraith from Stargate Atlantis, there are others too however the mind draws a blank at the moment as I recall something like that in Farscape or some other show.

I really love the Underworld series. Probably the only Vampire series I could get into. :)

Welcome aboard, always good to have new blood.

See what I did there, vampires - blood... ok I admit it wasn't funny. And technically not even new blood. I'll get back in my hole.

Maybe, I'm so sophisticated that I'm not used to making jokes about vampires. Or maybe, I'm just lulling everyone into a false sense of security...
