• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

This is something I stumbled across while looking for mods years ago. One of my favorite games ever was Axis and Allies. Not the PC game which was perfectly awful, the Milton Bradley board game. Always thought it would make a decent PC game. Triple A has an online multi player component and a Play By Email system as well. A thoroughly elegant system which plays well. It does not have state of the art graphics or the latest and greatest in anything. What it does have is solid game play in a trouble free bug and exploit free application which does not require a lot of system resources.

And then I found the new maps and mods. Of course I had to have them. The one pictured below is an expansion of the orginal game which features WW2 in the Pacific theatre. There is also a map to replay the Wars of 16th Century Japan and the Battle of Middle Earth as well. Type Triple A into your search engine and you're all set.

Gotta love turn-based strategy. With the whole RTS genre dominating the market for the last ten years, many people seem to have forgotten its older brother. I will DL this and try it out asap. Thanks for pointing that one out! :yum:
