Found out from the Sydney Morning Herald Guide that The Catherine Tate Show will debut on the Australian ABC this year. Michael Idato in the aformentioned SMH Guide had this to say about it:
"The Catherine Tate Show (ABC)

In arguably the funniest British sketch comedy since Little Britain, Catherine Tate has a collection of engaging characters and memorable lines, including schoolgirl Lauren's smart-mouthed "Am I bovvered?" and Gran's "What a f- - -ing liberty!""

Catherine Tate is the eponymous Runaway Bride in Doctor Who.

The series has apparently already been shown on UKTV for some time now. So it is good news for people like myself who haven't seen it yet.

According to Sunhill Fire at the Outpost Gallifrey Doctor Who forum the ABC will be showing the series from season 2 instead of season 1. If people are still interested he said that the series will debut on the ABC on Wednesday April 4 at 9:30pm.

Here is a taste of what the show will be like:

The Catherine Tate Show on the Australian ABC

Season 2, Episode 1:
Hence it begins on the ABC.
Didn't like most of the sketches. The one I liked the most was the opening sketch with Lauren.
Also quite fun seeing the indifference with ginger people and quite a delight seeing Siobhan Redmond as head of the ginger shelter.

Catherine Tate Show on Australian TV

Season 2, Episode 2:
I found this episode to be better than last week's opening of season 2.
I like the opening sketch of the nanny from the north (England). Quite funny.
Also funny is guessing the age of that woman.

Season 2, Episode 3:
This one was not bad. I liked the opening sketch of the female police inspector really being a working mother.

Been looking up at the May Optus Magazine and I found out the show has been scheduled Sundays at 6:30am from May 6. Presumably this is from the first season if people are interested in seeing the show from the beginning.

Catherine Tate Show On Australian TV

Season 2, Episode 4:
I have to say that the wedding reception shown here is better than the ones that I have attended and I really hated those wedding receptions.

The next episode on May 2 came second place in TV WEEK's highlights of the week.

Catherine Tate Show on Australian ABC

Season 2, Episode 5:
My favourite sketch in this one was when Lauren kept on asking her teacher whether she (the teacher) is from the north and of her being farmer.

I also found the sketch of the online date to be dodgy.

Season 2, Episode 6:
A good end to season 2.
Loved the Lauren sketch in this one as she keeps on asking her teacher whether he is gay.
I also liked the sketch about the 5 Euros.

Just four nights before this episode I finally got to see the show from the start on UKTV. Saw the first episode so far and it is quite good.

2005 Christmas Show:
enjoyed this Christmas special more than I thought I would. Now I really looking forward to seeing Catherine back on Doctor Who next year.

Sketches I enjoyed include Derek, who denied being gay, being cast as the Christmas fairy in a play and Lauren and her friends singing "Shut Up".

This Christmas show was very good for my funnybone.

Season 3, Episode 1:
Very good opening sketch of Lauren in a burger bar.
Least impressive were the sketches with the young man who came out as being gay.

Overall a good start to the season.

Season 3, Episode 2:
Wonder how the people of Honolulu would react to the name of the gay club mentioned in the first sketch.
Surprising to see Lauren as a cheerleader and funny when she said "quarter pounder" when she meant "quarterback".
Condoleeza Rice was mentioned to be the National Security Adviser to President Bush. This episode was broadcast on October 21 2006 and Rice had been the Secretary of State since the year before. Given the media attention given to the Secretary of State it is baffling to see why this mistake of her still being the National Security Adviser was made.
This episode featured a parody of Life On Mars only the name of the cop is Sam Speed (Doctor Who: Last of the Time Lords' Tom Ellis and that Doctor Who episode also featured Sam Tyler himself John Simm) and the year he went to was 1951.
It has Catherine playing a fifties landlady Ma Willow and hence why the parody is called Life at Ma's. From what I read this is not the only episode to feature Life at Ma's.

Season 3, Episode 3:
It was the two Doctor Who companions here as Bonnie Langford appears as herself with Catherine as Derek. While Catherine Tate is currently playing Donna alongside the Tenth Doctor, Bonnie Langford played Mel to the Sixth and Seventh Doctors in 1986 and 1987. She is one of the few TV companions to reprise her character for the Big Finish audios.
Not only are they both Doctor Who companions but they both have ginger hair.

In fact I remember looking at Lawrence Miles' (a Doctor Who novelist) website last year in which he made a comparison between Mel and Donna due to them being ginger. One thing I do remember about it is that he says that is one difference between the two - that is hardly anyone was watching Mel when her episodes first came out which was less than half of 9.35 million people (in the UK) who tuned in to see Catherine as The Runaway Bride.

As a follow up to this in season 3, episode 4 in the gingers' fight for their rights, there was talk about doing a movie about it. Sandra (Catherine) asked who is going to play her and the answer is.....Bonnie Langford!

The episode also included a parody on 24. It had Catherine playing Laura Powers.

Character description from Wikipedia:
"A bungling spy who is called in to assist the American government with a top secret mission involving terrorists (in a direct parody of thriller series 24), but is so inept at trying to use a computer keyboard that she causes a communications failure which blows the entire exercise (literally, as the terrorists blow up their hostages). It appears that she knew nothing of computers or her job."

Season 3, Episode 5:
Love the Lauren sketch in this one as she has an argument with her French teacher including saying "Am I bovverred?" in French.
Catherine as Nan appears on The Paul O'Grady Show.
Paul O'Grady himself will appear in Doctor Who season 34 soon on ABC1 but remains to be seen whether he will again appear together with Catherine.

Season 3, Episode 6:
The finale of season 3 included Catherine as Lauren singing "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic.

The next time that Catherine is on Australia's ABC1 will be in Doctor Who in the season 34 opener Partners In Crime. Since she sang the Titanic song it is too bad she was not in the Doctor Who 2007 Christmas Special Voyage of the Damned as well.

Also quite funny hearing Sam singing "Don't You Wish Your Girlfriend" song as well as Nan and Auntie Junie (Sheila Hancock) singing a song to close the episode.

The Sun reports that The Catherine Tate Show will be back for a Christmas Special this year. It will be a Christmas Carol type story with Nan being the Scrooge figure.

Matthew Horne, Catherine's co-star on the show has confirmed the Christmas Special on Twitter.
