I was never a fan of those nacelles on the Endeavour you released a while back, but they really suit the Akula shape in my opinion. Excellent work on that one, and I have to echo what the Cap' Sisko said; love the advanced D-7!

Wow, beautiful work, I really like the Akula. Do you plan on doing an entire fleet to match the Endeavour?

Looks excellent. I look forward to how you make the D-7's hull markings look.

thanx to all and i'm happy that you guys like those ship models :excited: :)

not really an entire Fleet as only 3 "officially" linear warp prototype ships exist and this are the Endeavour, the Monoceros Scout/Destroyer as Saladin variant but with three different versions and the Keppler class TUG.
The Akula prototype makes more sense to me as dual engined destroyer linear warp version, than those two dual engine prototypes of the Monoceros.
here some pic of the Monoceros dual engine version one, the second version was with the engines and pylons mounted on the bottom of the saucer:

ok here is a update to the Phase2 D-7 and i hope you like me markings setting.I changed the nacelles a bit to match the Phase2 Enterprise Nacelles a bit, as Klingons had stolen and copyed some of the Fed technology.

The Klinker is beautiful! I especially like how the subtle aztecing sets off the hull lines. This was always my favorite ship of the TOS and TMP era.

Yeah! TOS ships with LN-52 warp nacelles. Are these ships a sequel to the well known Mastercom Endeavor class (CH1716) released on filefront? Is the Kepler class (TT3816) transporter/tug on the way? :Y

thanx, i think this makes more sense than that D-7 version in the DS9 episode Trials and Tribbel-ations :)

Don't know what you meen with sequel but the U.S.S. Monoceros, U.S.S. Endeavour and U.S.S. Keppler where the first and only three Federation linear warp prototypes with LN-40 Nacelles and later sheduled for upgrade to LN-52 Nacelles along with more ships of the fleet. How ever the federation was short on resources at that time and only those three received the LN-52 upgrade along with the new Endeavour class Heavy cruisers, which had been proposed and build with the LN-52 nacelles.
Don't know if i will make that tug and than even without its containers as those aren't fun to unwrap and texture correctly. :)

right now i'm working on the Phase2 Constitution as i ever wanted one to play with. :lol2:

Hello:
Those ships look very nice, I like how you make the hull details, patterns and colors to give the sensation that they all belong to the same setting and timeline... and interesting how Klingons might have obtained some extra techs for them.

Keep it up!.

for the Phase2 Connie i have a bit bad news as i had again some RAM failure at the weekend and had to put the work on it on some hold, so you guys have to wait some more time for the finished one.
sorry

Never should you think for one second I might dislike or be disrespectful towards your work. I may not always agree with your opinion or viewpoint on some things, but this is a separate issue from your work which is always well done and very, very complete in a way few other modders achieve.

No this wasn't what i thought, its only that i never thought that my work would be good enough, with all those more tallented people out there.
I'm not a man of positive thinking. ;)

Everyone who's ever tried to mod this game has said the exact same thing-- maybe to themselves, maybe to others. Fortunately, some of the members of this community set out to prove otherwise. And they're the names we all know and whose mod releases we all wait for. To quite a few of us in this community, Terradyhne is one such name-- whose mods we all wait for, whose name we all know. :D

As a matter of fact, T, you were one of the yardsticks I used to make sure my own small stuff was suitable to unleash on an unsuspecting public. Anyone can do and has done Defiants and Connies and all the well known stuff. Some of these are very good and deserve the heaps of praise lavished on them.

You have that rarest of all things in a modder - vision. You are one of the people who does things no one else ever looks at trying. And when we see them we all wonder why no one else ever did them before. Then, we add your latest mod to our 2.275GB personal install and we see it work flawlessly the first time out and we know no one else will do the same mod to the standard you did.

Thanx, getting those nacelles done was not that easy for me, with only some pics of interpretations of the original model and one bit wrong interpreted SFC2 model as blueprints, for my work.

Terra...check out Wiley Coyotes Phase 2 Constitution (Enterprise) on BC Files...its an impressive piece.. And I know what SFC2 model youre using as a base. (TheStressPuppy) while at the time that model was impressive, its dated by todays standards.. WC's model is much more accurate (if you can call it that) LOL

Terradhyne, I probably should not ask this...but I am going to anyways.

Would you please consider hosting some of your A2 and A1 mods here at MSFC? There are people here whom are unfamiliar with your work who may not understand why some of us are carrying on about how good your mods are.
I think having some of your personal favorites hosted here would be a very fine way to introduce them to it.

thanx for pointing me at WC's model and its realy great work but it to has some errors in design. I like the Phase2 more without that TOS deflectordish and with the all blue glowing bussard, even if its an error in continuity. ;)

i don't know if i should release some of my old work here, as its old and those new people here may not like them because they aren't up to todays standards. :)
I will have to think about that for some time. :)

Very cool man the phase II. I made one physical model in styrene mixing both 22" TOS and TMP version model kits. some parts like the nacelles sides were scratched. The only distinguable difference with your A2 model is that I take the original TOS Hobbs 41 deflector array (see Bonhomme Richard sub-class) instead of the blue colored Vernier navigational deflector from TMP.

This is my ship :) :

Tain that is a beautiful ship! A masterful display of super detailing!

Terradhyne, please understand I wasn't trying to twist your arm or anything. It was a suggestion, nothing more. I fully realize some of your mods available elsewhere have been out a long time. I think some of them are also classics in the true sense of the word. Further, I would not presume to suggest you reissue them "as is" if you are unhappy with the work. If you want to release a better version of previous mods, then by all means, please do so.

Why did I make this suggestion? Because you are one of the people whom have been modding this game the longest. All that experience and expertise deserves to be seen by all. I also would like very much for MSFC to become the place one comes to for high quality A1/A2 mods which are not run of the mill. You've always set a very high standard and you also are more than willing to mod ships and concepts which few other people consider. Quite frankly you have earned all the accolades and praise you've received over the years. And I insist you pay no attention at all to the naysayers on this subject.
