So, I finally broke down and bought TFU2 despite all of the bad reviews. I enjoyed the first one a lot, and I still like star wars, so I set my price at $20. Well, I just got it for that, and I must say it was better than I expected. Though it was short, and ~30% was boss battles,(long...boss battles) it was a good game with great graphics. I preferred some features in the first game, but loved other additions in the new one, especially the replacement of the lightning shield with mind trick, but all in all I was mostly satisfied. My one major complaint about 2 was that they didn't give me my adventure robes back.:cry2: I loved those. Either way, after playing through I want more of the story, and certainly think there is room for more. There are rumors about it, but I really don't care, I just want to talk about possible stories.;)

So, for anyone who hasn't played both games, consider this your official SPOILER ALERT!

Anyway, the light-side ending leaves us with Darth Vader captured, Galen and co. alive and well, and Fett hiding in the shadows. My theory is that galen was that the starkiller you play as in tfu2 is not infact a clone, but has had his memory suppressed. Veder is trying to clone him with no avail, but decided to wipe starkillers memory and tell him he is a clone. If you played the darkside ending, you know that he was probably at some point cloned, but I think that the one we play as is not a clone. I think that tfu 3 would consist of you trying to get vader to dantooine, hopefully with some space battles. You all get captured at some point, escape, but without vader. Then you spend the rest of the game tracking down your evil clone, while at the same time the rebellion works on a plan. In the end you sacrifice your life helping the Bothans capture the plans for the Death-Star, and ultimately everyone has to die. But it can end really well, and tie directly into episode 4.:D

That is my idea anyway. As far as gameplay goes, I hope for some vehicular combat, and I hope to have more customization with the lightsabers. For example, the choice between two, one or a double bladed lightsaber, and maybe even a blaster.:D I liked most of the additions in tfu 2, but I didn't like the removal of the jump recovery, and some other things I can't remember right now, but all in all, It they were pretty good. They could have left out the super fury thing too because you really didn't need it. Gameplay needs to be longer, lightsaber vs. lightsaber combat could be better, and they really need multiplayer. Co-op would be awesome if you think about kota and starkiller teaming up to do a mission or two.:D Either way, there needs to be more. More customization, more story, more features.

There is more but I can't remember everything I wanted to say tbh. I was kinda hyped up after finishing the game, but thankfully I still have the DLC to finish.

So what do you all think?

I was disappointed as I paid full price for it when it was released. Katala and Knight had a chat about this after it was released and we were all in agreement that it was a let down. Then they go a release a bonus mission on Xbox Arcade which you have to pay for. It should be free considering the cop out of the game.

With regards to a future storyline, I am in agreement with your ideas Adm_Z sounds pretty good with you chasing down your evil clone, who could've even had freed Vader from your custody. If they do make a third game they really need to make it at least as long as the original, probably longer just to satisfy the gamers who paid full price for a game that was half as long as the original and who finished it in 6 hours like I did.

Yeah, it certainly wasn't worth $60, but I payed less than half price, so I suppose I got what I payed for. Less than half a game. The DLC has been only $.99 for a while now though, so I don't really blame them for that considering the first games DLCs are still $10 each. I honestly think DLC's should work like valve did it with portal 2 and give it away free to anyone who already had the game, but you have to buy it extra if you get the game after the release.

Yeah, it should be alot longer, and it should have multiplayer to keep people from returning the game after they finish it. So far I have been impressed by the DLC's for tfu 1(I bought the ultimate sith edition for my laptop and played it at 1/3 speed because of it:lol:) even if their stories are kinda silly, is is still fun to defeate boba fett, obi-wan, turn luke to the darkside, all while wearing really cool costumes. I actually liked jedi temple mission best though.;)

That is another thing I thought was better in tfu 1. The costumes you wore on each mission. The ones in 2 looked all the same. The one I use the most is the ceremonial robes from the first game, or the dark lords armor from the dlc. They do cloth so well, I am surprised there aren't more robes and the like.

I paid over $100 for the game actually. I wished it was only $60. Plus the downloaded content is worth I think it's 600 points which equals to a fair bit of hard cash. At least last time I checked. I think it was rather disgusting and LucusArts has a lot to answer for in my opinion, having pretty much every Star Wars game they have released since Dark Forces I and X-wing vs Tie Fighter.

I too enjoyed the Sith Edition, I bought the pack as it was on the cheap last Christmas and I enjoyed those missions very much. :D

Ouch,:( That stinks. If it were me, after finishing the game in 5 hours I would have returned it. I never do that, but if I really felt ripped off, then I would have returned it for sure.

anyway I went and finished the first one on the darkside ending(apparently I never did that on my ps3 copy:sweat:) and remembered some of the things I liked about the first game. First of all, the casual blaster bolt blocking was awesome. Just a little wrist movement and the bots never touch you. Much more like the movies where a jedi almost never got hit.(order 66 accepted) The other was the roll dodge you could do whilst locking onto an enemy. I think there is more but it is hard to remember unless you are actively playing it.

What I loved in tfu2 was the multiple lock-on force grip. It made it where you could actually lift multiple objects on the fly. The removal of the zoom kill cam was nice too. I forgot how annoying that was.

I've never played 2, but I was honestly disappointed with the first game. The boss battles were heavily scripted and most of the features that they were showing off in the promo vids were cut completely. Glass and wood objects were very obviously using pre-made break animations rather than their hyped system of working it out with the physics engine on the fly. The individual troopers were supposed to have some personality with some preferring to hang back, others trying to get at you from the side, etc. but they were all the same. You were supposed to get storm troopers that would help you until you finished your objective, then you had to kill them all since you were supposed to be completely secret but instead storm troopers are just hostiles like everybody else. Even the cool reverse grip style they kept showing was almost completely absent with just a couple moves making use of it.

What really bugs me is that most of the features they cut would have been really easy to implement. It was still fun, but that was mostly in how creatively you could use the physics engine and force powers to kill storm troopers.

Eh, I was still impressed by the breakage of glass/wood, but I agree, alot of the hype about the Euphora was a let down. Some of the troopers do hide behind barriers, grab onto each other, jump out of the way, but ultimately they died instantly, and it made very little difference, and it wasn't consistent.

Although TFU2 was fun to play, I hated the storyline itself. I was already ****ed off when the Rebels were taken to the super-secret base of the Emperor and after that they did not alert the whole galaxy about the Death Star until it destroyed Alderaan - although Bail Organa was one of the most powerful senator at the time. And why weren't they sued for treason publicly?!
Oh yes, and Galen Marek makes clowns of the two most powerful Siths ever lived! Yeeeeesh... And Vader loses his helmet and walks around, while he couldn't remain alive for 5 minutes without his breathing mask...
TFU2 was even worse... Seriously... Capturing Darth Vader?! THE Chosen One?! The most powerful Force user ever lived?! This was a bad joke...

Yeah, it was kinda ridiculous in that aspect, but I still thought it was a fun storyline to play out. They never really explained why Starkiller was so powerful either.

As to defeating the two most powerful Jedi, Indeed I think it was silly how easily you took down Darth Vader, but I am not too surprised by palpatine. Besides the fact that it was difficult to do ingame, Mace-Windu showed that a good swordfighter could pretty easily take him down. He is after all a frail, messed up, crazy old man. He just happens to shoot lightning from his finger tips. And if you go by the books, he has all these clones for when he dies, so he probably wouldn't be too concerned with dieing. It would make him look invincible.

I agree though, it seems silly that you can actually almost/kill Vader in the first game, and then Actually Capture him in the second one. If you think about the damage he could do with his hands tied behind his back, he must have allowed himself to be captured.;)
